What traits are you looking for in the new WR'S.

WOW!!

Maybe wanting a OT to have a great line is buying into a myth of having to win the line of scrimmage. I bet the better teams are really good at short drops. It neutralizes a pass rush and protects the qb. Which is a benchmark of the true West Coast offense.

Anyone can be taught to run great routes and to catch the ball. Truth is that speed and size are the only thing you can't coach. If Proehl can make Ginn into the weapon he did, he can teach anyone. But you either got speed or you don't. It is real simple.

Big hands can't be taught either..

Simply isn't true. Give me a football player over a track star any day of the week. You can make someone catch better, but you can't coach great hands. Beckham has enormous hands, it's not by coaching that he catches everything.

How many size/speed guys come into the league and flop?

Brains, shiftiness, speed, hands.

Give me a smart one, who can understand why and how to run routes, who can make his body do things it shouldn't, and come down with the ball.

Quarterback yes but not so much with wide receiver.  There are a lot of very productive receivers who are not exactly that bright.  Sure it helps and would be desirable but not necessary IMHO.
