the hell does gettleman have to do with this

a bloo bloo bloo i finally got to watch the panthers go the playoffs two years in a row thanks in large part to our GM's late season personnel moves bawwwwww

It's the only thing he has to contribute, pretty much the same bit in every post.

If we win the Super Bowl three times in a row, he'll likely still come on here and say the same stupid crap.

I can see how D-lo would be hurt but I don't know why Jerry may have not reached out.  Wish he had but it doesn't change my opinion of the big cat based on numerous other stories about him doing a lot of good and caring things.  Humans are human.

I've always loved D-lo since I heard his interview the night we drafted him.  He's always ran hard and been a great RB.  My only gripe about the guy is the time he tried to explain on facebook why a million dollars isn't a lot of money after taxes and you pay your agent.  Then buy a car and a house.  After that there's not much left.

Can't wait for the Byron Bell tell all since apparently that's the en vogue thing to do this organization after your release. Oh, and Greg Hardy's will be gold, I'm sure.

Don't expect it from hardy. He is in no way a diva that Smith and Dwill are. Washed up players have nothing more than bitterness to hold on to.

Has anyone asked the question, why the hell is Deangelo doing this interview on the 11pm news in the first place?

What does he stand to gain from it?

Don't know how much truth there is to it since it was on ESPN, but they said if he is waived now he is due an injury settlement but not if he is waived later. It's an interesting take if true, putting his case out in public before he's actually waived.

I get some peoples JR hate even though I don't agree with it, but why don't you like Gettleman if I may ask?

He's a businessman that creates change, and change is difficult for some fans who have known Steve Smith as their number one receiver and DeAngelo Williams as their number one running back for years.

Because these disgruntled players all have been given the impression by Hurney until 2012 that they have a right to be here and live off the fat of the land, and Gettleman has taken that away from them because overpaid complacent players don't win football games

Well said.   Gettleman has brought that ruthless New England Patriot type of philosophy.

G-Man don't give a f*ck.

    • He can be our post injury Delhomme in 2008. I am fine with Hubbard and Dowdle being our Willliams and Stewart.    Canales has some eating to do and hair to grow if he’s going to be Jeff Davidson tho.
    • This season was about continuing to dig ourselves out of the crater Fitterer (and by extension Young with the three first round picks we traded for him) buried us in. Tepper is determined to make Bryce happen, so we're forced to play him at QB and adjust around his obvious inadequacies.
    • Has nothing to do with the yards per carry, like at all. It's that 17 of his 25 passes were less than 10 yards downfield, against the worst pass defense in the league.  It's another game where Bryce's passing attempts were mostly dink and dunk type of passes. I wasn't asking us to throw it more yesterday, hell, if anything, you could make an argument that with how we were running it, we should have thrown it less than 25 times anyways.  It's that we still threw it 25 times but only had 8 of them where the ball was thrown 10+ yards downfield. Our schedule takes a dramatic shift after this week, even next week against the Jets, they have a decent defense for a team that hasn't won a game yet.  This was a great opportunity to allow Bryce to throw the ball downfield more against the worst pass defense in the league, hence I'd just have liked to see more than 8 of 25 passes be thrown further than 10 yards downfield. IF we were going to throw it 25 times against Dallas, I'd have liked to see a good 12-15 of them be further than 10 yards downfield, let Bryce work on his weakness against the worst pass defense in the league, not throw more dink and dunk passes per usual.
