We gave up 2 first rounders for the privilege of signing him.

When you look at the paycheck vs. the production he may be the worst player as well.

 

15.5 sacks in 5 seasons. Only played 2 full seasons.

In 99 we gave up the number 5 pick. Players drafted 5,6 and 7 were Ricky Williams, Tory Holt and Champ Bailey, all pro bowlers.

 

in 00, we gave up the number 12 spot. Players drafted 12,13, and 14 were Shaun Ellis, John Abraham, and Bubba Franks, all pro bowlers.

 

When you look at just his signing, it might not be as bad as it looks, but when you look at who was drafted with the picks we gave up, or who could have been drafted right there, it's sickening.

I can't believe the browns signed Jake to that huge contract in 2010. This is after we cut Jake from a big contract he didn't live up to.

Everyone always says that one, but hey at least he played a few years here.  Chuck Smith was sign for a lot and NEVER played a regular season snap for us.
