does he have any practice squad eligibility left?  it's entirely possible that's where he could end up instead of stealing marcus lucas or whoever's reps as the 5th wideout

Played all last year on the regular roster, so I don't think so (unless he fits one of those new 'exception' rules).

especially considering he probably was signed to be a wide receiver, didn't start the season as a punt returner, and was only forced into the role once corey brown was injured

This thread is hilarious - so much hate for a guy who worked hard and produced to the best of his ability as a receiver and on ST. If he earns it again then good for him, but it's not his fault that the FO didn't/couldn't bring in a stable of blue-chip WRs last year.

Honestly, there's nothing bad about this signing. Being an ERFA, we get him at vet min. He had some pretty clutch grabs for first downs, and had a TD. Just forget about the PR/KR in his past(not his fault anyway), and he's all good for a #4/5 WR.

Agreed. As long as he isn't giving me heart attacks fielding punts anymore I'm all in for him being on the team.
