New Buc Henry Melton became friends with Gerald McCoy at

the Pro Bowl after '12 season & they talked about playing on

the same line someday.

@ HenMel OU and TX linking up. Hmmm this could get ugly for

somebody!! Let's work baby

Henry Melton had a Pass Rushing Productivity of 8.2. Tampa

Bay is the only 4-3 team that has 2 DTs with a PRP above

7.5(he and McCoy at 9.4)

Pro Football Focus:

"Melton's +15.8 pass rushing grade in the regular season was sixth most among defensive tackles as a sub package player for the Cowboys and if he is to continue that role with the Buccaneers then that would give Tampa Bay an absolutely terrifying sub package pass rush from the inside if they were to pair Melton with Gerald McCoy."

Pro Football Focus has Melton rated as the No. 15 defensive tackle in the league out of 81 qualifying players.

mccoy is this all pro dude.

literally never does anything against us..like ever

him and lavonte david

i know they're consensus elite players and they're undeniably among the best at their positions in the league, but it seems like they're just kind of there every time we play them.  maybe one of them will have a nice pass breakup or a sack or something but that's it.  i can't remember one of them just taking over a game by himself like we've seen luke, thomas davis, or hardy do.

lavonte is a freak and so is mccoy but yea they don't take over games like we are suppose to fear from them.

i'm not worried at all.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
