Maybe in the second, if he falls. If we sign Jennings I'm 90% sure we'd pick a defensive player in the 1st. Unless a top tackle like Collins falls or one of the top 3 wideouts falls I don't see us going offense at all. I truly think there's no way we go Gurley. DG wants guys in the first who can contribute and have an impact immediately. Gurley wouldn't, behind Stewart and coming off the injury. Would be ecstatic with him in the 2nd.

Just think about it for a sec. Gurley was in Charlotte Thursday, and now DG is seeking a WR to possibly play number two. He had to see something in Gurley and could see him as the best player available at 25.

I thought this offseason would put to rest the argument that running backs are "a dime a dozen". Murray, Lynch, McCoy....they all got paid. Elite RB's can be game changers and Gurley has that potential.

He's what we would've liked to have seen from Cotchery last season.

If I recall correctly, we have 11 million, but we want to keep a cushion of around 7 million.

 

Should there be a need, other moves could be made to clear cap space.

 

 

 

The idea is to plug holes so that we can take whoever is the best player available.

 

That would still include the possibility of a receiver.

Only the top two rookies actually fall into the top 51 contracts, and those two bump two other contracts out. The net impact is more like $1 million.
