Running backs other than Gurley

Captain Morgan

Karlos Williams is probably not on our draft board due to the domestic violence issue.  Yeah, he wasn't charged, but I still don't think JR will let Gettleman touch him.

You could be right.  Hard to say since no charges were filed.

We know we're drafting a running back.  If we don't get Gurley, who are the other targets?

these are the ones we know we've met with

The Dakota kids and Hill will be late rounders.  Allen, Coleman and Johnson are mid-rounders.

RB
Zach Zenner, South Dakota State (Shrine Game)
John Crocket, North Dakota State (Shrine Game & Pro Day)
Javorius "Buck" Allen, University of Southern California (On Campus)
Telvin Coleman, Indiana University (Private)
Todd Gurley, Georgia (On Campus)
Keyshawn Hill, Sam Houston State (Pro Day)
Duke Johnson, University of Miami (Combine)

Who fits our system best?

and have we not met with Melvin Gordon, Jay Ajayi, Abdullah and the Alabama kid, all of whom have
2 or 3rd day potential?

Jay Ajayi

This is one of the deepest RB drafts I've ever seen. I still say Mike Davis would be a steal on the 3rd day. Kid was in the Heisman running for a while his Sophmore year and fits how we run the ball.

Yea, not a lot of people are talking about Mike Davis, but I like him a lot.  Disclaimer:  I have no affiliation or affection for USC, I don't really follow a college team at all but if I did I would have to choose UNC cuz family.

the Sports Illustrated analysts on Duke Johnson:

"Ideally, Johnson would be both a rotational player and an every-down weapon—rotated around the formation to set defenses up for failure. Pro Comparison: Reggie Bush , 49ers (Round 1, 2006)"
