Just a week away...1st Round predictions in here

The draft is nigh and things should be interesting come round 1.  Lot's of speculation on the DL class, cheetos, WRs rising, OTs falling, etc. so was wondering what everyone's bold predictions are...(try to include at least 1 trade prediction and 1 surprise pic)

My batshit unrealistic predictions:

-Mariota goes #1

-Dolphins trade up ahead of ATL to grab Gurley

-The Redskins grab Winston

-Less than 3 OTs are taken before our pick

-Agholor goes way early to the Chiefs

..and the Panthers select: Andrus Peat (or) Landon Collins

What do you got?

I would love to see Mariota go #1 just to see the circus that would ensue

- I think QBs go 1-2 in the draft.

- Biggest reach: Breshad Perriman goes to Browns, Saints or 49ers.

- Biggest slide: Shane Ray to the 2nd round.

I think the Panthers will be stuck with a tough decision to make between the following:

- Melvin Gordon

- Andrus Peat

- Jake Fisher

- Nelson Agholor

- Landon Collins

- DJ Humphries

- Owa Odighizuwa

Just when the little bell goes off signaling that the Bucs have made their selection and whomever is walking out to announce it...the screen goes dead...a meteor has hit Chicago.

(on a happy note, everyone is fine and the meteor just took out the satellite feed)

...and the Browns take Ryan Leaf.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
