Ridiculous. Many LB picked past the early 4th will be lucky to be starting before his rookie contract is up and that goes for a lot of mid-to-late round draftees.

I mean, I like to compare Shaq to TD...but they were both first rounders and both played some coverage coming into the league.

That's a great sign of respect towards Kuechly if rookies will be 'compared' to him. And with every player comparison, you have to take it with a pinch of salt.

Meh, they're excited about their player.  I'm not gonna dog them for it.  They got a guy who was widely considered to be the best 4-3 LB in the draft prior to the combine at the bottom of the 3rd.  Yeah, he ran a terrible time, but he was probably still a good gamble at that point in the draft.
