Panthers Saturday Cuts

Didn't realize Ricky Henry was still on until just a few minutes ago.  Word is, that he and Dean Marlowe had a contest for who was most likely to miss a block and they tied for last.

Nah, not really. Most of the Huddle have been saying he's gone since forever.  As much as I liked and appreciated his efforts, he just was not fast or athletic enough to stand out enough to justify the roster spot. His hands were the only thing that stood out. Isn't that ironic that we keep a receiver with questionable hands (brain or whatever), but kick the solid guy to the curb?  it may be ironic. but not surprising looking at Gettleman, Rivera, and maybe the situation...maybe.

to me the real surprise is that Bersin, Boykin, Byrd, and Lucas are all cut.   Doubt there were many here (if any) that thought all 4 of these would be cut.

Cox won't make it through the waiver wire. It's a shame because he would have been a great rotational guy. Todman should of stayed instead of Fozzy. Bersin being cut is another I don't agree with... He had the best hands in the wr group and had some chemistry with Cam.  We'll see how it plays out.

Interesting to see Corey Brown on your list...

could they cut Mayo???  Would that be the first time Gettleman cuts a guy he drafted the same year???

To all those saying ________ won't pass waivers. Remember being picked up is rare. So don't worry quite yet.

David Mayo made the 53, so all draft picks are safe.

G-man has done a great job drafting overall, but when the Mayo pick was announced Ibwas all kinds of WTF

This leaves us dangerously thin at CB.  Only 4 CB, with only Bene healthy!!!

True,  every fan base has guys they think shouldn't get cut.  They can't all get picked up.  Hopefully Cox doesn't but there is a premium on pass rushers.
