What if the Panthers had drafted Andrew Luck?

The same nimrods that claim that the Panthers have done more than enough to surround Newton with talent...will turn around and scream everyday about the lack of offensive weapons surrounding Luck.

Let's be real, if Luck were here, I am not sure the Panthers front office could get away with allocating as much resources into the defense and keeping Shula as OC. The local media and fan base would not stand for it and Luck's father would probably have taken legal action against the Panthers by now.

Holy hell at this comment...  and here I thought Indy has been surrounding Luck with weapons, since he stepped through the door.  Some people on the Huddle lied to me!

I agree to a point.  However, until Luck actually has an offensive line who can block, wide receivers who can get separation, and running backs who can run and hold up I will withhold judgment of Luck.  People talk about Luck staring down receivers.  You have to when you have no time to throw and receivers not getting open on a consistent basis.

while we were losing our poo about drafting shaq thompson they were calling grigson the worst GM in the league for spending another high pick on a wide receiver in dorsett

it was like the bizarro huddle over there.

Auburn was dog poo the year before and after Cam. In 2010 Auburn put up insane numbers offensive and steamrolled the SEC. Cam is the only player from that offense to play in the NFL.

You can homer all you want, I won't argue. That offense was garbage outside of #2.

The Auburn offense in 2009 was a Top 20 offense in the country.

The Auburn offense in 2011 was putrid because not only had they lost Cam, they also lost 4 starting OL and 2 starting WR and the starting FB/H-back (for the math-challenged, that means there were only 3 returning starters.

The fact you seem to think a college player isn't any good unless he plays in the NFL is amusing.

What if one day, we all woke up from a coma and found ourselves in a hospital in Georgia surrounded by dead bodies and zombies?

Since the topic of this thread is so amazing...

why do you think we let mike mitchell go? He's only 28 and obviously can still play.

    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
