I really wish Shula would steal GB playbook.

The difference between GB and CAR is that the Packers have repeatedly and continues to invest in the offensive side of the football (and they have the best QB I have ever witnessed). But mostly they make it a point to supply the offense, within reason, whatever it needs to succeed.

A short while ago, when Rodgers first assumed the starting role, GB had a terrible o-line . Know what the Packers did? They used their resources to rebuild the offensive line into one of the league's best...while adding pieces to the TE/WR positions.

The Panthers just made a trade for Allen. Why? Because the Panthers saw a need on the D-Line and moved immediately to fill it. The Panthers are fully committed to ensuring that unit is as strong as possible. The same cannot be said for the WR or even the O-line (which is fine).

So we as fans need to understand that this front office is interested in building this team as a low scoring, defensive-first oriented team. And we should also stop blaming the offense (or any of the players) for not being Green Bay.

If we want to be Green Bay and move the ball like Green Bay...we have to allocate resources as Green Bay...otherwise we should expect non-Green Bay offensive results. And we should also stop complaining when we have just 17 points on the scoreboard late in the 4th quarter.

my god people can't go without taking shots at Shula for no reason. We are playing well on offense right now. We don't have the running threats that GB does. That helps them a lot, but also Rodgers is one of if not possibly the greatest QB of all time. You have to give him a lot of credit for that offense.

To be honest our defensive end situation was worse than our WR situation and had to be addressed immediately. We haven't done anything to build our offensive line? Seriously? Did you see how they manhandled Watt and company. Just because we don't draft them high or throw crazy FA money at them doesn't mean we don't address it. Our line has played very well and is young. Will be even better with Williams healthy. We haven't addressed WR? We drafted Funchess high, and brought back Ginn. Can't help KB and Cotchery went down. We would have our best WR group maybe ever if it wasn't for that. Look at Green Bay's WR group across the board. It's not that impressive. A QB like Rodgers can make any WRs look good.

Aaron Rodgers would make me look like an offensive genius if I was OC.

These high flying offenses always gets everyone excited in September and October.

But in December and January when the weather changes and it is cold and often wet, these teams tend to fizzle out.

That is why GB, New Orleans, and Peyton Manning teams struggle to win Super Bowls.

Even Brady won 3 of his titles when they were a defense oriented ground and pound team.

GB's line they have has sucked for years. On both sides of the ball.

They didn't build everything at once. They are also good at developing their drafted talent.

Panthers develope their talent.

The current packers regime has been in place for a decade.

The Packers were hot garbage across the offensive line well after Rodgers was the starter. That's one reason why they didn't win multiple Super Bowls, the other being horrible defenses.

It takes years to build a complete team. As everyone knows but tends to forget, we were in the worst cap situation of any team in the league only two years ago.

GB wrs did well because of the system and coaching putting them in situations to succeed.  How many times did they run that quick 5 yard crossing route, taking what the defense gives and counter it they are good at it.

Take cam giving greg a hand signal to run a route he came up with for huge gain, at least shula is letting the players have some input now thats encouraging.  However  this talk of shula calling a good game is absurd.

I'm guessing we have to average 50 points per game for Shula to get any ounce of credit?

Aaron rodgers make that OC look like a genius with all his shenanigans .... Some Defensive co ordinations think Shula is a Mad Genius when Cam just goes off running..

Luke , Davis and guys like CJ and norman make MC Dermott look like the next best thing in the Coaching world ... Sigh and sad to say this i think Shula is the best co ordinator for Cam whether you like it or not. He gets Cam and has accepted .. don't be too fancy with Cam just keep it gritty and nasty and his talent and body are the weapon not all the fancy throws. :)

no but how about just a few things..

When cam has 4+ sec in the pocket yet has nowhere to throw to cause all three wr are converging in the same part of the field.

predictable run formations.

Game time adjustments like when the defense is giving 12 yards cushions cause all your routes 15 to 20 yards down field. Change it up with quick routes. I can go on and on here.

The talent on this team has skewed alot of shula's problems as a oc he is just horrid plain and simple.
