Best missed XP in Panthers History

If Graham doesn't miss that XP we're definitely playing conservative ;-) Who knows if we even make that FG with the way Sherman was coming from the right corner of the ST.

Instead, the D goes out and gets us a stop and then Cam to Olsen for the game after a few clutch catches by Funchess (finally)

Say what you want, but I think that XP miss might be the best thing that's happened to us all season!

With a made XP, we would have been playing for the win but I agree that we would have probably sat on the ball a little more and settled for the 40 yard FG attempt for the win instead of going for the jugular.

You might be correct on that, but I feel Rivera has learned to cram it down their throats.  Fox had the bend but don't break mentality.

they should of  went for 2 on the td that made it 13-20.   it doesnt matter the situation.  when your td puts you down by 7, you go for the 2.  still got it done.

If we played for the FG to win it, absloutleu no doubt something would have happened and FG wouldnt have been made and jesus christ, to hell for playimg for OT. If I had to choose guarantee OT or going for the win on 4th down, at Seattle? Im going for the win

I would have to agree with that assessment. Playing to get in fg range versus a td we would have seen different plays. But it happened and it was the best and most physical game in awhile

Agreed we take a long fg to win the game and who knows what happens. It worked out and was a great great win

With only a two point deficit, I suspect the Panthers would have been tempted to be more conservative with their play calling, hoping to gain just enough yards to be in Gano's outer limits for a field goal.

Thats exactly what we did last year against Atlanta and Gano missed it and we lost.  Glad we seem to have possibly learned from that experience.
