90 yards in 7 games

The fugs going on with this kid? I'm not expecting him to light up the world but geez, that's awful for a guy we traded up for. Philly Brown did better as an UDFA

They need to use him more, thats the only way he going to get better and gain confidence.

He's 21 years old and is adjusting to the pro game.  On the Huddle Podcast he mentioned he was more of a basketball player his whole life.  He is raw but has all the tools to be a good NFL receiver.  He needs time to adjust both mentally and physically.

If he's at 90 yards through 7 games next year then it might be time to worry a little bit.

I am not gonna lie,  he is looking like a reach.  That being said,  he still may develop into an able complimentary receiver.  But at his draft position,  a complimentary receiver probably means you're not getting what you paid for.

The jury is still out at the end of the day.

I think we've been spoiled in the G man era so everyone thinks that all 1st and 2nd round picks are supposed to perform right away when in reality that's not always the case. Every person is different the dude is 21 years old and never played with a good/decent qb before. He was also never a full time wide receiver in college. It's obvious he's going to need another season or two to grow and there is nothing wrong with that as long as he works hard to improve his game

This game is so fast. It's so hard to tell from tv. Add in a quarterback that throws lasers to where he's going to be not where he's at. This isn't a game of instant gratification, it can be if you want to be a flash in the pan but I prefer continued long lasting success. A few of you were calling Ealy a bust. Calm yourself and see what falls into place

I thought all high draft picks had to produce right away? Remember back when the old saying is that receivers take 2-3 years to make any sort of impact? Then last year happened and people went freaking crazy

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
