Greg Hardy hates the fact he's not here

Greg Hardy's former team was playing on TVs all around him at The Owners Box sports bar inside the Omni Hotel Monday night. But the Cowboys' standout pass rusher didn't seem interested. He was surrounded by fans seeking a photo or an autograph as part of a promotion for Gameday Sports Tours.

It's clear that Hardy does not care for the Carolina Panthers, the team that drafted him in 2010 but chose not to re-sign him after he missed all but one game in 2014 while facing domestic violence charges.

Hardy's feelings about the Carolina franchise were particularly evident when Jeremy Smith, a 38-year-old Cowboys fan, approached the Pro Bowl defensive end with a Panthers mini helmet to be signed.

"No, I can't do it," Hardy told him.

However, Hardy quickly found a solution, reaching into his pocket to grab what appeared to be a wad of cash. He peeled off a $100 bill, signed his nickname "Kraken" and handed it to Smith.

"I was a little irritated because I spent $37 on the mini helmet," Smith said. "But he offset it by throwing down the $100 bill. I was a little surprised. It made me feel better."

Smith said he would likely have the bill professionally framed.

Am I the only one that's worried about playing this mother fuger?  He said while he was here a few times the QB he wanted to hit the most was Cam... probably even more so now.

Hardy likes to violently light QBs up when he gets to them.   Wouldn't put it past him to bring something extra against Cam.  Hope Oher is ready for him when Cowboys week rolls around.

When you go through a breakup, you either can't stand to be reminded of your ex because you were in love with her (and you take every opportunity to trash her because you want to make yourself feel better), or you can talk about it unemotionally and move on because you didn't really care about her.

The former seems to be the case with Greg, DeAngelo, and Smitty.

Fun fact - Oher and Hardy were teammates in both high school and college. Before they went to Ole Miss both played at Briarcrest in Memphis, which was one of our (Christian Brothers) main rivals.

    • agree to disagree you are entitled to that opinion even though I find the argument completely bizarre based on data. I could type out a long paragraph discussing those areas but what’s the point. I posted a screenshot that showed Bryce in a similar post snap situation with a free rusher in his face which resulted in a TD - that’s what happened on the play so I posted it.
    • I've already addressed this notion in a previous reply. You are basing your assertion outside reality if you think Bryce would have not only been more successful but defeated the Patriots in place of Herbert. Bryce got blown off the field by that Patriots team with the highest paid OL in the league. We've seen Bryce with an OL that gave up 65 sacks and it resulted in the #1 pick. And that is not a defense of Herbert or arguing he is a great QB in any way. He has physical talent but he has been similar to Darnold early in his career in terms of his very up and down perfomances. However that does not change the fact that they have significantly less invested in the OL than the Panthers.
    • I think Tepper has been setting the stage where pending there is no miracle he wipes it all clean.  Think you already have been told that with small things like Evero staying.  Bryce is the guy next year.  OC, DC, everything stays the same.  QB room largely the same.  Nothing would really matter there.  They basically get one more shot and it goes how the schedule paired with our 27th ranked O predictably most likely goes.  Everyone out the door together.  Bryce is a bridge tier QB.  I don’t see Dave surviving where he could be bridge QB here in reality.
