He's struggling this year especially in the last two games. He had a lot of trouble with Jordan Matthews though the numbers don't show it due to Matthews dropping 3 or 4 balls when he was open. Then on Monday night he got burned by old ass Andre Johnson giving up 6/7 for 89 yards and a TD.

I have noticed that he is starting to get snaps outside again playing basically the same role that Captain Munnerlyn played in 2013 where he plays outside in the base subbing out Tillman and moves into the slot when we are in nickel. I think he needs to move outside full time after this year. We don't really have anyone else who can play slot CB except Colin Jones.

The matchup against Cobb worries me a great deal.

Agreed, had Luck not been hit in the first overtime drive for the Colts and thrown it over Johnson's head it was game over. But I think he's great in that nickel slot and he makes good plays, I just hope he can figure it out.

Add in Delaire to that mix and we could give them a few opportunities. Delaire is so quick off the ball that Rodgers could catch him.

Biggest issue is when Rodgers catches someone they stop.  If you get caught you can't stop.

Yeah, you want that unabated to the QB penalty because Rodgers is especially good at seeing he caught someone and taking a deep shot.

There is a Cobb video on Packer.com where you can tell he has to focus and try so so hard to remain calm when a reporter  basically ask about how he looks different without Jordy.

one thing it shows....frustration.

In an article a couple weeks ago he admitted that he is not used to the extra attention he is receiving with Jordy out. Hopefully we are looking at mimicking some of the schemes that teams have used against him this year. The Broncos strategy of completely blanketing him with one guy won't work for us.

I doubt he locks on one man all game, we play too much zone for that anyway. I also think it is better to have the corner play over the top of Cobb and have a safety or LBr play the inside of him with how shifty he is. Adams is the wildcard, not sure how healthy he is and then there is Montgomery. Jeezus, all those guys would be our #1 and thats not even mentioning Jones and people are still making excuses for them.

In interviews I get a very strong vibe the Bene really wants to play outside corner.  Recently he said that he was learning all kinds of great stuff from Peanut but couldn't use any of it because he was stuck in the slot.

On WFNZ, they tackled this topic and had a writer from Green Bay on the show. The guy had a good idea: lock Josh on James Jones and double team Cobb with Bene and S/LB help. That would leave Peanut matched up with Davante Adams. I like this idea.

I won't go as far as to say that this should be our only plan of attack, but would like to see this frequently throughout the game. Mix it up. I do think that one thing this team has done is disguise it's package or at least put doubt in the mind of QBs until the snap. That's what having an improved secondary will do for you. Seems that McD trusts those guys much more -  and deservedly so.

Combine this match-up man with the DEs keeping contain and Star/KK getting movement at Rodgers' feet and I think that's a good recipe for defending this passing attack.
