Your wishlist for the draft

It's super early but going to go ahead throw out some guys if like to to us pick up in order

1st:

Corey Coleman-  we drafted Wrs height the last 2 drafts.  It's still out there how Funch will turn out and how KB will be after return after an ACL tear. Coleman I think could end up being the #1 WR in the draft.  Hopefully the WRs will fall after a ton being taken the last 2 years.  Coleman Imo is the most explosive offensive weapons in his draft.  At 5'11 he runs in the 4.3 range with around a 38" vert.  He has better hands and concentration than any WR on our roster.  Want this kid more than anyone in the draft

Emmanuel Ogbah-  big athletic pass rusher who can play the run as well.

Andrew Billings-  not sure if we will be able to keep Short and Star.  We need to go ahead start getting someone ready to fill in.  Everyone talks about Oakman.  But Billings is just as big a freak at DT.  Possibly the strongest DT to come out in year.

A'shawn Robinson- another big freak DT

2nd:

Shawn Oakman-  some will say no way.  But as big freak as this kid, he is super raw.  Many people have him falling to the 2nd.  Though he possibly want be where we will be sitting at, we may need to make a Funchess type trade.

Carl Nassib

Hassan Ridgeway

Seeing as we will probably be picking somewhere between 25-32, here is a pretty raw list of rankings.

As I see it, if we don't sign Josh or even if we do, DB has to be something we are after.  DE is an area where we are hurting.

Those are the top two spots of need to me

Then C, OT, DT, LB, RB

Don't watch or follow college ball and won't know anything about players until after the season when I start watching some film of certain players. With that being said, I think we need to draft RB, DE, DT, and safety over other positions. If we can't keep Josh corner becomes a priority, but I expect us to keep him. I don't expect a WR drafted high, which I'm completely cool with. We're not a team that needs WRs to run our offense and with KB back and Funch continuing to develop we should be fine at wideout.

    • Facts it's still crazy that they made him sell over that especially considering what some of the other owners have done.  JR was a rich 80 year old white man from the south I'm not at all surprised about him making some "inappropriate" comments about what a woman is wearing water is wet what a surprise. That's just the way things were done during his time, and he should and did get punished for his actions by paying some hefty fines, but it definitely wasn't something that he should've been forced to sell his team over.  I'll never forget him insulting Peyton Manning during a negotiation, reportedly belittling the quarterback’s knowledge of player safety and asking, “Do I need to help you read a revenue chart, son?
    • Like many of the old heads, I’ve been here for a long time.  I got a lot of respect for everyone on this board for your dedication to this team.  We’ve all been through it during the tougher years. At this point in life, I’m not one to judge anyone’s level of dedication, or their reasons why anymore.  Time, and a lot of bad football, will do that.  For me, it’s simple.  We share a common bond.  For that, I love and appreciate all of you crazy SOB’s. For me, last season was at a minimum, entertaining.  BY lead a young team to multiple come from behind 4th qtr wins.  That showed me heart, and that he has the clutch gene.  That’s the wildcard intangible.  For me, that was fun to watch even  if it was mindbogglingly frustrating at times.  Over the past two seasons, we have progressively built a better team around him.  On paper, the defense should be better this season.  That’ll help.  Let’s see what he can do as the other guys continue to develop too.  Besides, his contract is cheap for a few more years, and we just made some smart cap decisions during the draft. Let’s see how it shakes out.
