Unofficial "Laugh at Joe Buck's unadulterrated Packers knob slobbing" thread

Recommended Posts

I really try to just watch the game and not find homerism in the announcers but both those turds  announcing today really griped my friggin but.  Hard to believe that the NFL is keeping it unbiased in officiatting when the networks obviously have their favorites to win each week as sponsors.

Thats why I laughed when people were talking about Ronde Barber... This is truly biased game calling.  Buck's disdain for everything that isn't "old school, classy".  You can hear his teeth grinding after Cams first down/touchdown celebration. Troy Aikmans disdain at Cam being able to get away with doing things that he couldn't because he wasn't 3/5th the athlete Cam is.  I have 5.1 Dolby and you can hear him exhaling when Cam threw the the pass of his back foot to Funchess.

Let's not pretend Barber is somehow "ok" because Buck is terrible. Both are just plain damn awful.

Barber is fine. He actually when looking at it with bias tries to toe the middle and not be , like Jon "everything is awesome " Gruden.  Buck is a sanctimonious douche prick.

I sometimes wonder what game they are watching because it wasnt the game we were watching...  Aikman was saying good defense on a long pass play by the Panthers in the 1st half..  I am old I cant remember which Panther caught the ball but the defender had both his arms trapped...

At times I felt like I was listening to the Green Bay Packers radio network.

I can only hope for 15-20 years from now we have guys like Cam and Kuechly cruising in retirement calling games and being absolute Panther homers. That would be a first!

Stop cuz our radio announcers call it like they see it.

    • He threw with him the last two offseasons so he knew what he was signing up for lol
    • The meat and potatoes: Out of 30 qualifying QBs in Week 1, Young ranked: Dead last in EPA (-0.60) Dead last in success rate (20%) Dead last in Y/A at 3.6 Dead last in passer rating at 27.5 How are you averaging just 3.6 Y/A on unpressured dropbacks in the first half of a game? Thinking back to that halftime deficit, I’m reminded of this stat: The Panthers led at halftime in three of Young’s 12 starts last year. They are now 0 for 1 this year. In his 29 career starts, the Panthers have led at halftime in 5 of 29 (17%). Since 2000, there have been 37 QBs to start at least 25 games in their first two years in the NFL. Young is the ONLY QB to lead at halftime in fewer than six of his starts. Young is the ONLY QB to lead at halftime in fewer than 20% of his starts. So many people were backing Young based on the super small sample at the end of the year when they thought he played better, and he did play moderately better. But even in those games, he delivered average stats against the NFL’s easiest schedule of pass defenses to close the year, with every opponent ranking 20th or worse. There’s never been a QB who rebounded from performance like Young delivered in his first couple of years to go on to become a franchise quarterback. Some stay around as a journeyman, but they don’t lead teams. The Panthers put all their eggs in the Young basket this offseason. The Panthers were the darlings to win the NFC South by many. Yes, it’s only one game, and there certainly are opportunities to improve.   The opportunity is to start someone else at QB.   I don’t want to see anymore debate in whether Bryce is the worst QB ever.  Especially not the worst #1 overall pick ever.  What a fuging bust.
