With McClain coming in and probably calling up Lou Young, what are everyone's thoughts as far as playing time and how we handle this? Besides the thought of...fug.

Obviously, not ideal, but you know what this team has done all season? Raise the level of play from players who aren't exactly household names. When you have players/leaders like TD, Luke, CJ, JNo, KK, Star, etc. marginal players look better and play better. These guys on the defense will be challenged, but also remember that we don't have to win games 16-13. Our offense is potent and can win us ball games.

It's honestly not that bad.  They're going to rotate guys and find out who's got the hot hand.  The main thing is that JNo is still taking away 1/3 of the field.

Our strength lies with our front 7. 

Besides, if we keep scoring 40 points a game, does it matter?  LOL.

Last year's Super Bowl MVP was a UDFA CB playing behind a good front 7 whose offense could put up points.

Colin Jones has actually played well as a safety.  He was burnt when we had to try and play him as the nickel back.

Rivera has said himself they'll just use more base defense. The extra snaps go to Shaq, who was drafted specifically so we didn't have to depend on the nickel as much.

Brady was actually the MVP, but point made. Butler came out of nowhere, won the game for them and this year he is a top CB.

That team also got booted first round out of the playoffs... Not a great example.

Malcolm Butler has nothing to do with our situation. He played well for the Patriots but Lou Young and Mclain are different players on a different team. Last year we lose in the playoffs due to busted coverage. Bene got burnt and every time we blitzed Wilson had an open guy. He picked on Tre Boston too. This year we will have the crowd on defense but in a tight game you would be a fool to feel confident with these guys coming in. One of the reasons we are so successful is continuity.

Who knows, maybe Young is yet another gem that comes in and just balls out with the opportunity. Maybe they play EVEN BETTER than bene and Tillman, or maybe they just fall flat on their face. Nobody knows, we'll just have to tune in.

I mean, it could be worse, the Patriots, Seahawks and Cardinals have had their running games obliterated. The Bengals lost Dalton for the foreseeable future. Okay Stew is a lil banged up at the moment but compared to some of the teams around us it's not as terrible
