Doubt is good for this squad.

both my teams have had great years (Clemson and Carolina) and both have thrived off the doubt.

we should thank these people.  I also hope Seattle whips the Vikings and that initial Vegas line totally disrespects us

Big deal!

A season's pass to Carowinds and the opinions of these pundits will get you a ride on Thunder Road.

Let these false profits be exposed one by one for the fools that they are.

Meanwhile the Panthers will realize their manifest destiny...

possession of the Lombardi Trophy on the 50th Anniversary of the Super Bowl.

I highly doubt Clemson has thrived off of doubt, they played the shitty ACC.  Then played a less talented OU team in the trenches and beat them soundly in the 2nd half.  Sometimes it's better to be lucky, I suppose.

Is everyone supposed to assume we are going to win?   Not like anyone just said... well Cardinals and Seahawks because um... um... Cardinals have a good team,  Seahawks are good and have been to the last 2 Superbowls.

I think we gonna whup dat ass but no reason to think people are stupid for picking them.   Now if they were picking the Packers or Redskins over us, then that's just not smart..

People that aren't complete homers realize we aren't a perfect team and that there may not be a 100% chance we win the Superbowl. Just because someone has a different opinion and may think another of the teams has a better chance doesn't mean we take it as a slight against us. There really is no need to crucify people that think differently of this team. I swear some of this fan base is like a kid that wants all the attention.

Only 28% of a few writers expects the Panthers to go to the Super Bowl?  What a travesty. By  that, I mean it is a travesty these so called Panthers fans have become so full of themselves and sensitive that someone picking another team is some type of major insult to mankind.

    • I mean, I wouldn't classify him as elite, but he is good. Are you arguing that he's JAG? There aren't many elite pass rushers in the league today in my opinion. Carter and Thibodeuax don't seem to be. I mean, come on. Sometimes rushers get to the QB, sometimes they don't. Sometimes injuries slow a player down. I haven't seen Hutchinson enough, but he just got paid like an elite pass rushers, and we all know that Parsons is. Who else is really elite? Crosby and Watt can rain terror, at times.  Hendrickson is good, but a Johnny-come-lately. Other guys seem to be on the same level as Burns. The days of Pep or Reggie White have been gone.
    • With Canales I'm not nearly as concerned about his mismanagement of the RB situation (which you could argue is being overblown to a degree yes) as I am with how woefully inept he is at preparing coaching and managing his team on gamedays against opponents and their coaching staffs with winning records. The team has been blown off the field too many times under his watch now. But I will concede that even if we fire him we will just end up with another figurehead of sorts. It's plainly obvious or at least it should be that our ownership is still meddling and pulling strings.
    • It's definitely not but what he and Darnold and now Jones are all doing does show that if you have a guy who checks a lot of the prerequisite boxes putting them in the right situation can make all the difference. The problem for the folks wanting to apply this logic to Bryce is that little "checks a lot of the prerequisite boxes" issue.
