I live in WNC on a private mountain road.  Could not get to work the last 2 days.  Someone with a tractor cleared some snow  an hour ago.  But my downhill decline still treacherous.

Just dug my car out and shoveled a path to the end of the drive.  I will not get to my tailgate as planned at 8am......but....I will be there.  Might be freezing here but hell has not frozen yet.

GO PANTHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stay safe Lady Panther!!  So glad snow will not deter you.

I'm coming from Florida and never driven in this type of weather,  any advice other than slow down?  I'm leaving several hours early so I can take my time.

Watch out for black ice....looks like wet road....and other crazy drivers.  As you said...take your time.

Go Panthers!!

Use a lower gear than Drive. Go slow but keep it steady. Obey stop signs, red lights, etc. Hills:: down --> do not use your brakes, take your foot off the gas. Up ----> (this is sooo important) DO NOT STOP! Try to get some extra momentum before you are at the hill then hold your foot steady on the gas as you go up; do not press the gas more, do not let up, hold it steady & drive straight. You may feel like you are slowing down as you reach the top of the hill but continue to hold that gas pedal steady & you'll make it to the top. Also, remember bridges & overpasses freeze before the road does.

Coming up from the Keys and have to stop in Raleigh, but still not sure how 40 to 85 is going to fare tomorrow morning.

Anyone know how bad those highways are to Charlotte?

I drove from Shelby to Charleston and back today to pick up my daughter who flew in from Cleveland for the game. That was the closest airport open . 8 hour round trip.

Anyway the interstates are fine. Nothing even on the roads tonight all the way to Charlotte. Secondary roads will have some snow and ice but are passable. Getting out of Charlotte tomorrow night is a bigger issue I think than getting in tomorrow afternoon.

My son lives in Burlington and he said 40/85 were passable but might freeze tonight. The later you leave  after the sun comes up the more likely things will be slushy and not frozen

Cool, appreciate the update...   About to hit 40 from 95 and it's all been clear.

Once in Charlotte I'll just walk to the stadium (not too far for me) but hopefully 40/85 is pretty clear by tomorrow and they keep things rolling..

    • I think you should see the OP for pretty big reasons why that is a completely incorrect take given this is a Dave Canales team.
    • TMac is a good player and would've been the right pick if our QB could throw a ball farther than 40 yards. For this team's current build (run first, game management passing attack) and the fact that our TE's are laughably bad - the five on our roster have combined for less than 600 yards total, with 3 TDs - Warren should've been the pick.
    • If anyone feels like they can't have a conversation about Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career maybe assess why and how these conversations end this way instead of looking to shoot the messenger. Why is it okay to label anyone else on the team or coaching staff trash? Folks on the huddle and across the fanbase on social media have fully thrown anyone and everyone including rookie 8th overall pick TMac fully under the bus multiple times this season. But some of you guys apparently expect a pat on the back because Bryce Young successfully evaded a few potential sacks while Tyler Shough got consumed by our pass rush throughout the game and still had a superior performance. The state of this division is hilariously mediocre at best. Bryce Young is the only player on this roster who is allowed to have the lowest bar possible yet we have invested the most resources in him. It's lunacy.
