Bruce Arians blows hot air

Well its true. They were able to practice for regular conditions and we weren't.  The weather will be fine. If the game was happening in bad weather y'all might have a point.

I respectfully disagree. They practiced in 70 degree weather. The Panthers practiced in cold weather. It's going to be cold tonight. From what I could see, our practices weren't really disrupted that much. I just think it's a ridiculous statement.

I don't care, I actually love Arians.  He does what some good coaches do by downplaying everything and keeping the truth under his belt.

I like Arians too but he talks out of his ass all the time. Some of it is pretty humorous. There was no gamesmanship or point with this kind of talk.

This is a night game. It's going to be cold. it will have some kind of affect on them. Add in the field conditions. This team is a dome team, much like the saints. It will be interesting.

I get it your trying hard to go for the "Lolz" that's nice and cute.

I'm not even sure what point you're trying to make here but it's pretty clear that you're sensitive about people insulting your boy.

Bruce Arians, admitted liar, is trying to spin that the weather benefits his team (who practiced all week in near perfect conditions) more than the Panthers (who practiced all week in conditions that will more closely approximate game time conditions).  Bruce doth protests too much, methinks.

Lol, but what do you expect him to say? I highly doubt he's admit that practicing in 70 degree weather is going to be hell and a huge wake up to the Cardinals who will be playing on the road in a different zone in freezing, snowy temps. Bruce is nervous about it lol. No way he can think the Panthers practicing in elements that they'll be playing in is detrimental to them.

Weather is in the 70s with 15% humidity where the Cardinals practiced yesterday.

Tonight they will get cold wet conditions at 35 degrees with 70% humidity at night fall when the game starts and by the end of the 1st quarter it will be freezing.

Now, when they go from Arizona's dry climate to Carolina's humid climate their body will sweat a lot more since it has not adapted to the weather. This means more fluids and more sweat at greater rates than the Panthers players who are conditioned for this environment. The temperature will fluctuate around freezing depending on the area of the stadium. The soil will still be ice cold and the grass will fluctuate between wet and icy. This is going to sap heat from the body at a much greater rate for the Cardinals players than it will for the Panthers players due to physiological rhythms.

The Cardinals players better be ready to change their sweat soaked clothing a few times in this weather and I already know they have been practicing with the wrong studs in their cleats. The ground will call for 1 inch cleats for the linemen and 3/4 inch cleats for everyone else. The Cardinals are going with 5/8 inch studs and some of them will be stubborn and stick with molded cleats. The Panthers OL and DL will destroy the Cardinals if they are wearing 5/8 inch cleats.

The Cardinals are in for a rude awakening come nightfall. Give me 15 degrees and dry or 45 degrees and humid. Having it fluctuate around freezing with a ton of moisture in the air and soil that is still frozen is not going to be easy to adjust to if you have not been practicing in it.

I get that this is a panther forum, and you're suppose to talk crazy about the opposing team. But your nuts if you think Bruce isn't a good guy or coach.

I mean just off his hat game along, I think he's one of the coolest coaches in the league.

He fuging looks like Hamburglar. His hat game is sad.

Rubble rubble.

    • For Bryce’s obvious shortcomings (bad pun), there is upside to his game. This isn’t being a homer or apologists, but I like to consider myself fair in criticism.  He’s far tougher than I ever thought he’d be. I really thought homie would have been broken in half by now. I don’t know how he’s not, but he’s not.  He is prone to turning the ball over early in games which digs a huge hole the team is not built to come back from, but dude DOES come up with crucial first down in crucial situations. It’s NEVER pretty, but he just kind of has the shining. He gets bailed out LOTS, and the team still loses games because of him, but he’s a bit of an enigma. He’s a turnover machine that is clutch in big moments.  He’s a smart/elusive cat. He kind of has to be with his limitations. His audibles are almost always correct and he understands coverages. I don’t see him getting fooled too frequently. His turnovers are almost never the ‘damnit Jake/Cam!’ brand we have been accustomed to. They are ALWAYS due to his size/strength limitations.  Strip sacks that shouldn’t be. Picks that happened because he just don’t got that NFL arm. He is still prone to panicking and the wheels can and do fall off at a much higher rate than his peers.  The team is winning on the backs of the defense, running game and special teams… but they’re winning, and unbelievably 1 game behind Tampa. As long as this is happening and Bryce doesn’t go full meltdown, Dave is going to keep him in. He is not getting pulled.
    • This was a terrible podcast. A bunch of uninformed homers that had worse takes than the bottom 10% of the Huddle. I listened to a handful of podcasts this past offseason in search of new Panthers material since John Ellis doesn't do his pod anymore and The 4 Man Rush don't either. Immediately deleted it after the handful I listened to. Truly terrible.
    • The NFC South was so bad it sent a team with a losing record to the Playoffs that year. Wilks had players playing hard at the end but let’s not act like that was a good season. That season hurts even more now that we see in hindsight how good our QB situation was. We just didn’t know it.
