Blasphemy..I can never get enough of Panthers coverage..

After Sunday you guys will be wishing for it as the season will be over..

There is a lot of truth in this.

Actually, I'm bookmarking some of the longer feature articles (like the MMQB "oral history" article about the Panthers' 1995 season...) to read some time after the game, when I'm dying for a fix of Panthers' news....

Too much to read this week,  Not enough time.  And I can't focus anyway because all I care about right now is THE GAME.  But some of the articles about players, from their home town papers, are really interesting and I think I'll enjoy them once the off season has started and we're all basking in the glow of the Panthers' first Lombardi.

The only thing that sort of rejuvenated me was watching Greg Jennings have to sit on a media panel and talk about the Panthers in the Super Bowl after he decided to sign elsewhere. I never get tired of free agents who reject us ending up in shitty situations.

There's a certain irony to talking about being tired of coverage of the Panthers on a message board that's dedicated to talking about and covering the Panthers.

Yeah, that fact didn't escape me! LOL.  Maybe though it's just that so many story lines that are "old news" to us are being rehashed in the general sports media as new storylines.  For us, there's really little new to talk about / learn about these Panthers.  Now we just want to watch the grand finale..., and celebrate!

I'm suffering more Huddle fatigue than anything.

I feel like I'm at a family reunion that has many step parents and kids and both are stuffing their faces with food while complaining about the exes or why they didn't get invited to the others parties.

IM READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL

By the end of any football season, I tend to be a little fatigued.  Much as I love the game, it's nice to be away from it sometimes. And I don't think I'm alone in that sentiment.

I think that's a reason why fans say "hell no" everytime owners start talking about an 18 game season.

Me tired of it? Nah.  Heck if I were tired of people talking about the Panthers, I probably wouldn't be on this board right now.

I could easily see the players being tired of it though.

At least the players have some new excitement.  Looks like they can now do some Offensive Line Dancing.

Defensive end Jared Allen bought his D-line teammates Australian cowboy boots:

The boots are made from ostrich. "I wanted to give them a surprise. Mario (Addison) has been hounding me all year for some," Allen told ESPN's David NewtonCharles Johnson said he can "get jiggy" with the boots, and plans to get a nice shirt to pair with them.

    • Incorrect, I have watched us consistently over quite a number of years. When I say Cam relied on athleticism, I simply mean his dual threat style and athleticism overshadowed the deficiencies in the passing game (his own or those created by the system).  Now I wouldn’t disagree that our OCs over that time were not amazing and arguably held him back, but correct me if I’m wrong, Cam had a habit of locking onto his receivers and overthrowing them. Gettleman even drafted two big receivers - Kelvin Benjamin and Devin Funchess - to give Cam receivers with a big catch radius.  Again, correct me if I’m wrong, but Cam had some mechanical issues. For example, the reliance on arm strength over touch and his footwork often led to him throwing off the back foot. There were many debates on these boards about his mechanics, with far more knowledgeable posters than I braking down what he needed to improve on. End of the day, I was as big a Cam fan as the next person, but he did have his shortcomings as a passer. Had he played under someone like Sean McVay or a similar offensive guru, with a high quality QB coach, then I’m sure they would have ironed out the kinks and he would have been far more dangerous and successful than he was. And that’s a scary thought of what he could have been under the likes of a McVay!
    • It's true that we are not scoring at a much higher clip than the Saints. They're averaging ~18.4 with Shough and in that same span we're averaging ~19, so pretty close, despite Bryce having better TD numbers over that period. Both our teams are a far, far cry from the NFL average of 23.3...
    • I like when this big kat is going crazy panther fan and not the pat jersey betting against persona.
