Trent Dilfer thinks that Denver will win because of "magic"

Don't worry guys, Chris Berman just picked the Broncos after saying Carolina passes the eye test and there is few scenarios where Carolina loses...regardless he picked Denver 23-20. Harry Potter must be their secret weapon because that's like the fifth person I heard sayin Denver because of "special", "magic" or fairy tale.

So did Keyshawn Johnson.

You guys can praise Shula but Cam is the one making him look good.

I get that and do agree that Cam's performance is certainly making Shula look good.  My point is how douche he sounded.  I'm sure Shula held him back some, in his first season as starter he threw 5 touchdowns and 18 ints.  I'd hold his douche azz back, too.

He also bashed Mike Shula a little bit on Mike and Mike, saying Shula held him back as a QB while in TB.  May or may not be true, but the dude sounds like an absolute douche.  Get over it.

I think you could argue just as easily that Dilfer held Shula back as an OC.  It's not like Dilfer was a great QB anywhere else, but Shula has been a great OC this year.

Dilfer sucked everywhere he went. He's a career 55 % passer with more interceptions than tds.  He has no business blaming anyone but himself for his career. It's not like he got better when he left Tampa.

The NFL needs to attract stupid fans, too.

Almost every old white quarterback wants to see Peyton win because Peyton is their buddy who they either played at in the league at the same time, or has kissed their ass in the media since then.  Only exception i've seen so far is Dan Marino who picked us to win by a touchdown.

    • Dude you're all over the place. Bryce definitely played better than average down the stretch last year. That's what I said. I dont think it's controversial, and I think it's true based both on stats and by actually watching him play. He was the 6th rated passer by PFF during the last 8 weeks. In no world is that below average You trying to twist this into something else is a you thing.  Have a great night
    • Exactly He's played two seasons and started 28 games. He's well beyond the point of being able to point to 2 or 3 games and being able to say, "THAT is the QB he is and will be in the future" Of course he can get there, but anyone trying to use just those couple of games to rank his place amongst the games QB's today and their full career's worth of playing at that level, is just asinine. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Daniels, Stafford, Goff, Geno, Purdy, Baker, Love, Dak, Tua, Kyler, Lawrence That's 17 QB's right there that have played better over their careers than Bryce has played at his best.  And I'm not saying they're all studs or guys I'd want to be our QB moving forward, Tua for example I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but his body of work is a million times better than Bryce's has been. It's also not including any of the other QB's drafted in 2023/2024 other than Daniels. So again, say you believe in Bryce, say you think he's going to prove he can and should be our QB of the future, that's all fair and totally fine. But nobody can say he's been an above average QB in his career thus far, it's just an asinine notion.
