When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong

It's pretty much his own fault he's not here, though.

Maybe if he would have worked as hard while he was still here as he did last year, he'd have had a chance.  But in reality, after he got his ridiculous deal from Hurney, he didn't live up to it.  And then once we got a GM that actually insisted he live up to his deal or be let go, he got salty.

And even so, none of that excuses him bailing on his old teammates.  He could very easily have said something like he was pulling for them even though he was mad at the front office.  Instead, he went with a dumb statement like "hope nobody wins".

While I do agree with you fug THAT poo!!!! I'D RATHER NO ONE WIN TOO THAN US LOSING TO PEYTON "CHICKEN PARM YOU TASTE SO GOOD" MANNING!!! I can't stand the guy and to watch him ride off into the sunset a champ after having his worst year since his rookie season, at our expense, hurts really bad.

I've never had a reason to dislike DeAngelo...but my God, his Twitter account when he's "keeping it real" or "being honest" like he says is THE WORST. Basically every tweet has some spelling or grammatical error, his opinions are always fact (or people are haters), and he never knows when to stop.  Until today I guess.

Didn't really say anything that wasn't true, evidently when your name is Manning you get free passes whenever you need them.

There was no free pass given.  The respect everyone was giving was based on the conclusion of one of the most amazing and influential careers of any QB in history.  Nobody was praising Peyton on last year's performance...it was career recognition.  So DeAngelo was way off base in his criticism.  It was also mean-spirited, pointless, and completely inappropriate.

He came out prior to the Super Bowl and said he hoped neither team won.

Kinda disrespectful to his former teammates, honestly.

I was going to come on here to say that you have that just a little bit wrong.

Then you posted this correction. So I guess I have nothing to add.
