Some folks will howl over this but, honestly, it will be hard for anyone to crack into our WR roster this season. We may not have the names, but we're just coming off of a 15-1 regular season and a Superb Owl appearance. That year was built on the backs of our no-names and cast offs receiving corps. 

These guys we have are good, better than the replacements out there and they play hard. With KB coming back, you'd have a hard time pinning someone in higher than WR5.

And most of these players are still young guys with a lot of tread left on their tires.

He's much more than that. This guy is a legitimate playmaker and a perfect slot guy for our offense. Yes, he's not fast (4.61) but he's already a great route runner. This means he can play immediately for us. Boyd is aver real possibility for us in the 2nd round.

He did a 4.5 at his pro-day. After drops this year, we need sure hands

IN OUR VIEW: A graceful athlete, he trusts his hands and uses quick eyes to snatch and immediately analyze his surroundings, but his body size does lead to durability concerns, especially over the middle. Despite average measureables, Boyd is an exquisite catcher of the football and able to stand out by paying attention to the details, putting his value in the top 50 range. His ideal NFL fit is in the slot in a Jarvis Landry-type role.

Sterling Shepard 2ND round  . Get either DE /saftey/ CB in the 1st,  and get a dude that can catch and run good routes in the 2nd .

Name the top slot receivers that are the teams deep threats.

Speed goes outside to stretch the field.

We had the best team in the NFL last year, but one of the worst WR corps.  Has just a few months of no football made most of you forget this?  Don't y'all remember drop after drop after drop?  A contributing factor to our SB loss was dropped balls and our WRs' inability to beat single coverage.  It allowed Denver to blitz with almost reckless abandon.

      Dennis Rodman’s son lands Summer League shot with the Hornets   The Charlotte Hornets are coming off a promising 2025 NBA Draft class and will enter Summer League with no shortage of new faces looking to make an impression. But the most interesting addition didn’t come from the draft board. Instead, it’s DJ Rodman — the 24-year-old son of Hall of Famer and five-time NBA champion Dennis Rodman — who’s bringing some extra attention to the Hornets’ Summer League roster. Rodman played four years at Washington State before making the move to USC for his final season.  He wasn’t exactly lighting it up with the Trojans, putting up about 6 points, four boards, and an assist each game. But he did shoot well — hitting around 41% from the field and draining 36% of his three-pointers.  Standing 6-foot-6, he’s got the size to play on the wing and offers some versatility, which could be just what the Hornets are looking for as they try to fill out their roster. The Hornets’ Summer League squad already has plenty of fresh faces with this year’s draft picks and young guys fighting for a role. But Rodman’s last name alone is enough to turn heads, and now he’ll get his shot to prove he belongs once the games tip off in Vegas. Charlotte’s Summer League team is already drawing interest with recent draft picks and young players hoping to crack the rotation. But Rodman’s last name — and his potential to bring energy and toughness — adds another layer of intrigue. What Rodman lacks in college stats, he makes up for with hustle and competitiveness — traits his dad was known for throughout his Hall of Fame career. If he can bring that same energy and show growth in Summer League, he could carve out a role and surprise some people. Though the odds are against him making the Hornets’ final roster, there’s no denying the spotlight that comes with the Rodman name.       Question to the posters on this thread because you are knowledgeable--I love watching and pull for the Canes, but I never played so I don't have the understanding I had when I played football then watched it.  Having said that, Do you think we are weak at Center?  I see the team to be pretty strong on the wings, promising defense, and weak at Goalie.  It would be ideal if the Canes had 1 more position to upgrade, not 2.  I don't think you can count on Anderson to play a full season and he is 35.  However, are we solid at Center in your view?
