Roll over that 30 million and it becomes 90 million next year.

Short should happen this year. Wait on Star because he has the 5th option and won't be a free agent until 2018.

In the long run this was the best thing for the team and everyone knows it, even the Norman huggers. Many people saw this coming when he went on nflnetwork spewing out the mouth.

A lotttt of solid players in the 2017 FA class. Roll a big chunk of that cap space over, lock up most of our own, and could still have the money for a splash like a Ziggy Ansah or Cordy Glenn if they don't reach deals with their current teams.

Star needs to step up his game this year. That's the only way I see him getting a new contract. Otherwise a cheaper replacement will become a priority.

It'l be interesting to see how Gettleman handles free agency these next couple years when he actually has money to spend, but at the same time hates overpaying.
