Norman was not a production of a system

Julio jones in the slot being covered by Luke Kuechly says otherwise jackoff.

That's were I know you don't know jack sht. No corner back not Revis, not Champ not even Deion covered the number 1 receiver every single play.

The fact that opposing teams had to change their game plan, routes, playbook to scheme around Norman not covering their number 1 shows how valuable and respected he is. The Giants had Odell coming out of the backfield to avoid Norman.

I also explained this in another thread. We could afford him on a long term deal because his first year cap would be 7 or 8 million not almost 14. He wasn't worth tying up that much on a one year deal. It totally limits what we can do. Gettleman said as much. So you saying the opposite with no insider knowledge and no experience is hardly convincing.

It didn't limit sht, your pulling these statements out of your ass. Even after we tagged Norman we had more than enough cap space to sign who ever we wanted this and next year.

Your just a knob slobber trying to make reason out of a stupid decision.

Quote me saying he never followed anyone.... Please show me that post.... I'll be waiting.

Plenty of NFL corners do follow #1s to the slot Peterson does...

hell pacman jones for the bengals did last season.

Bull, Peterson was constantly switching up from Ginn and Brown and Steve was here he didn't cover him every possession

Pacman? Lmao Kirkpatrick got the majority of snaps against the number 1 receivers

Do you even watch the NFL?

It was simple.  Get KK under contract. Get Star under contract or over pay a very good CB who sometimes couldn't control his emotions and only covered half of the field in this system.   ...and I think Gettleman grew weary of the thought of seeing Norman on every sports show lobbying for a contract  No player is worth that distraction

I am sorry Josh is gone too but he is gone. It is a business and at least we don't have to have TD be a baby sitter on the field and the sidelines anymore   ...and somehow despite what was said, that little show in NY, I don't think the Panthers liked either, it hurt the team,  it was selfish, and then, after that, Norman  gave up key passes late.

Josh got paid.   Good for him.   As for the Redskins, a team and organization I despise, well, 'a fool and his money soon part'.

This is a typical example of when Playet X leaves home team, highly emotional fans try to downplay his importance so they can sleep better at night. Norman was the best corner in the league last year and it got to his head. Of course team mates helped him out, that's what team mates do, even for great players.

Remember Terry Cousins and Reggie Howard?  Not hall of famers or household names, but they were our starting CB's in the 2003 Super Bowl season.  They were successful because of our dominate front 7, that's not a coincidence.

I'm not saying Josh isn't top talent at his position, but I can't see regression of our defense because he's gone.  If we find more successful pass rush this year, I think that offsets the loss of Norman, and I for one am excited to see if Kony Ealy picks up where he left off.

That line in 2003 was leaps and bounds better than the current

There are actually Panther fans who dont think Josh played both sides of the field?

Sure he rarely played the slot, but teams rarely stick their best receiver in the slot because they then miss out on a host of other benefits.

Lol saying Norman didn't play both sides isn't just revisionist history. Its too soon for that. At this point its likely just lying to make another excuse for the decision.
