Sorry. Gettlemens Draft This Year Blows

We lost Peanut Tillman to retirement.  We lost Norman.   I am going to erase the street free agents we HAD to start in the SUPER BOWL from the roster.  They suck.  Teddy Williams? You call yourself a CB and all you do is get special teams penalties and beat out by street free agents. CUT.  Lou Young--street free agents beat you out.  CUT.  What does that leave us with, after clearing out the debris?  Our CBs, except Norman, have been a weakness.  Instead of trying to upgrade 5 spots, what is wrong with what we did?  Make CB solid, grab a stud DT, and a solid value at TE (a person who can block the speed rushers).

We still have CJ, Ealy, and Addison at DE--and I feel that another will emerge between Cox., Miley, and Dehaire.'  Do you know how long it takes a 4-3 DE to mature?  (2-3 years)

Is all the fuss about a T?  Well, if you go back 3 years, about 75% of first rounders struggled.

What more do you want?  We addressed a HUGE weakness and got stronger at 2 other positions.

Now lets look at the undrafted players:  Jeremy Cash will make this team as a SS/OLB.  Garrett has a real shot at making the team as a WR,  I personally like the RB from Marshall to sit on the PS until Tolbert is injured or retires.  Jake McGee is probably better than Dickson and SImonson.

LAST SEASON, GINN WAS OUR #1 WR.  Cotchery and Funchess etc. Cam bought time for them to get open.  This year, Cam will have more weapons (Benjamin, maybe Garrett, Funchess, an improved Brown, Ginn as a #3 or 4, etc. will allow Cam to release the ball sooner.

Sometimes we treat the symptoms and not the cause.  Gettlemen knows what he is doing.  How long will it take doubters to realize that?

Razor thin offensive line ...  it was only Mike Remmers really getting beat like a drum and it was 1 game ... fortunately for us we have Daryl Williams who you seem to forget about referring to the line being razor thin.

Has the pass rush improved ? Vernon Butler.

And what if I told you Hardy would be a Panther in 2016 .. he will be. Gettleman knows he is going to sign Hardy later on + Vernon Butler yeah our pass rush has improved

You point to Velasco leaving as a negative ? You need some better material, people like you are idiots and should have their fan cards revoked.

When you are a fan why be negative until proven otherwise, why not be positive until proven otherwise? especially after coming off the Super Bowl, are you serious ? You are an idiot

yes and you cant seem to make a point without insults. which is suppose to be a temp ban but whatever. enjoy my ignore list.

The cap situation is completely different from 2014.

Even though, from what I remember from 2014, no good tackles were released during summer/TC. Given their importance to the teams, it is unlikely that a team suddenly will release a tackle better that what we have. But for depth it seems possibly. But if it's only depth players, then the cap room will not matter

That was the common belief going in to 2014 as well, and we all know how that panned out...

It panned out with a 2nd NFC South Champ, a playoff victory and the team coming into its own... which was a spring board to the next season which saw us go 15-1.

During that season, our OTs were atrocious, but we made do (granted 7-8-1 isn't anything to write home about, but record aside, that season really laid the foundational toughness and grit for the seasons to follow...not to mention Oher + Remmers + Williams >>>>>>> Bell + Chandler + Poop).

a 2nd round, 3rd round or any round tackle won't help our team more than these CBs. Is oline depth a need? Absolutely. Does that mean you should arbitrarily draft OL to address the need? Not if the BPA vs need doesn't match up.

Sheesh.

Oh my the idiot fan is going to put me on ignore

There are enough people on here with brain cells that will thwart your awful posts besides me

Only personal insults get a temporary ban I think ... Idiot is just a general insult, nimrod

In terms of Huddle history, @chknwing is a marvelous and well respected poster. You've made some god awful threads and have broadcast some terrible ideas.

For this draft discussion, I agree with you (minus the Hardy nonsense). No need to call chi wing an idiot though.  He's a good dude.

I just hate how everyone tears each other down for expressing their opinion on the draft. You can actually have a discussion with someone you don't agree with.

Huddle starts arguments.  Huddle does not start discussions.

"How odd.  Three corners in a row. Why is that" becomes "gettledumb not know ball of foot. Must die"

Do you really still believe this?  Or are you just fishing?

Cuz if you're just fishing, consider hook firmly implanted.
