I am seriously considering it. probably the 30th, 31st, and 1st. It's been on my bucket list for a while.

Good choices. The 31st and 1st should be padded practices ... ie... first actual hitting of the year. One on one matchups are my favorite thing of camp.

Ive seen your previous thread with the map on where to stand, but for one on one matchups specifically, where is the ideal place to get the best view of this?

really just depends on the day. Sometimes its on the far field near the trees. Sometimes on the near. Just look for where the big blue lifts with video cameras are pointing. Thats usually a good indication where the main action is.

I live in VA but was in Myrtle Beach for vacation last year and made the trip over with my son for the first time.. i will be at the beach again this year but don't think i will be able to make it because everything is early morning practices when I am down there.. but maybe i will try again..

I've got some leave time in August, and looking at a quick trip to the States for 3 1/2 - 4 weeks.  I'm looking at TC dates.  Might make it.  More likely I'll be at Patriots pre-season game...  I'll keep all y'all posted once my plans are firmer.

Probably won't be able to make it this year unfortunately after going the past couple years. Will be in Florida in early August and if I get a chance I may try to sneak in a drive up to camp but it's highly unlikely. 20 hours of driving for a day or two of camp... Even if I could squeeze it in I may not be up for all that driving.

    • He does have speed. 21+ top end speed is very fast for a linebacker and his 3 cone drill time is considered excellent, close to elite.
    • This is awesome because you get to see the perspectives of the scouts--get a glimpse behind the curtain. I wonder whose doing this was; I am curious as to why David Tepper allowed it. Maybe it was his wife. Maybe Dan.  At least from my perspective--and probably one shared by other fans--when David Tepper bought the team, he closed everything off too much to the fans, and really didn't give an explanation. Things were obviously done because he (and/or some others wanted to do it). Remember when they used the guise of construction and all that to keep fans from seeing the team during practice? I know there are laws and safety and all that, but Tepper could've made it happen. And, of course, we all know that they essentially fired Jeremy from his independent contractor gig as a photojournalist. I never understood why they'd do that (and the negative reverberations obviously affected Jeremy and ultimately this place--i.e, us fans). The pie was (and is) certainly big enough to throw some scraps to the independents. I realize that you can't necessarily open the floodgates, but a few different perspectives from indy journalists whether in word or photos is a good thing in my mind.  So, it's great to see different perspectives. I will say this however: it is not without risk, as you know there will be some buster who will be calling the scouts out if the players flop. I think we should all keep in mind that the buck stops with the GM. It's nice to have one, however, that is so convicted in his people and process--and ultimately success, that he's willing to give fans access to this type of information. Pass this on to Tepper.
    • I hope he ends up being our best ever at the position. Ryan Kalil left big shoes behind that we haven't quite been able to fill since.
