Ezekiel Elliot accused of domestic abuse

Thing is, he may have abused her, or she could have gotten bruises from one of a dozen other activities and is using the situation to her advantage. Not blaming the victim at all, just saying that there are alternative scenarios and shady people in this world. The criminal justice system assumes innocence until proven guilty, I'll choose to let the facts reveal themselves first in this one.

That being said, SOMEONE is lying their @$$ off in this one. Either the friends are all taking the Sgt. Schultz approach or this woman is digging for gold.

Clarence Hill ✔ @clarencehilljr
Per police report, Ezekiel Elliott said the bruises to his gf came as a result of a bar fight with another woman

Per a source, Elliott broke off the relationship and alleged victim said she would ruin him if he did. Thus the accusations

Mike Leslie ✔ @MikeLeslieWFAA
High-ranking #Cowboys source says that Ezekiel Elliott has messages saved on his phone proving his ex-girlfriend is trying to set him up.

And this happened after a girl took a picture in the bed with him after sex. This is looking more and more like a money grab. There is no excuse for abuse, but there is also no excuse in being so spiteful to try to ruin someones livelihood before it starts.

Hmm, I think Elliott may have his bases covered. He has 4 witnesses stating that he didn't hit her in the time period she claiming it happened, he supposedly has text messages with her threatening to ruin him if he breaks up with her, and he is claiming that the bruises are the result of a bar fight she had with another woman. Those should be easy to prove if true.

Not a good day for runningbacks...

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet

#Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell is facing a 4-game suspension for violating @NFL policy on substance of abuse, as @DanGrazianoESPN said.

Steelers will have two starters suspended for the first four games of the season.

Again, this is why you don't put yourself in the position of having to rely on unreliable people.

    • Rags lost again. All is right in the hockey world.
    • He’s responsible for two drafts classes. The first was one of the worst drafts I’ve ever seem. The second one is showing a ton of promise. I’m somewhere between skeptical and hopeful on Morgan.
    • I'm a big fan of Dan. His ability to find productive players deep in the draft will pay off.  I'm going to give him 1.5 draft classes right now, because I do think it's a little unfair to evaluate his first year when he got the job in January, especially when we went into that draft not having a first round pick.  XL and Brooks are still big time TBD players. Both still have incredibly high ceilings, but both have also given us legitimate reasons to have a lot of pause. Trevin Wallace, Chau Smith Wade and Jatavion Sanders have IMO outplayed their draft position early in their careers. That's a great thing. He also got Coker and Demani Richardson as UDFAs that year. Given the situation we were in, I really don't mind the gamble on the high ceiling guys. Still may work out, still may not, but if you made a checklist of ideal situation for an NFL GM to walk into, ours was near the bottom of that list.  Every single 2025 pick is contributing in some way. That typically doesn't happen. I am absolutely blown away by this draft class 6 games in. Even the best GM's miss on occasion, and we can't expect Dan to be 100% on drafts moving forward. Ryan Fitzgerald was an excellent find as well.  Comparing our last two drafts to the previous few is pretty shocking. Can you imagine this season without our Rookies? It would not be good. Additionally, this roster only has 6 players with more than 6 years of experience, and two of those are specialist.  The next step is equally important, and still very much TBD. We have to avoid Cap Chaos.
