Luck vs Broncos and why he gets the call

With all the talk this season about how Cam doesn't get calls that other qb's get, I found it interesting that Luck gets a flag thrown yesterday against the same Broncos who assaulted Cam. 

Luck was running with the ball, went into the slide and a Bronco( pretty sure it was one that got fined) tapped his head with a forearm. Ref throws the flag and Colts get 15 yards. 

The hits on Cam were much more violent, Luck barely got touched yet he gets the call. What say you guys.

I'm tired of talking about it, it's just a new reality. I remember Cam's rookie year he got a ticky tack facemask against the Cards his very first game. The refs are trying to nerf our QB. Defenses don't want to see the big, fast, trash talking QB get the same calls as Brady.

I believe it was established on the other thread that its primarily a pigmentation issue.

They just proved our point. Just call roughing once we'd be 2-0.

Call Von Miller on his patented slam my head into the QB's helmet while grabbing for the ball move for what it is, roughing the passer, the SB plays out differently.

Viking safety Andrew Sendejo got flagged for hitting Rodgers late in the endzone after he scrambled for a TD yesterday. Wonder if the refs will be that protective of Cam this Sunday against the Vikes.

I was actually surprised that they didn't call a penalty on the Vikings when they hit Aaron Rodgers when he scored his rushing TD...

Maybe people hate running QBs because it's so hard to defend. But na honestly half that poo is racism and the other half is incompetent refs and the other half is gotta keep the game close in hype games and the other half is sometimes it's biased based on a number of factors and thats enough halfs to get the point.

I personally think it's roughly 50% "trying to keep the games close", 30% incompetence and 20% pigmentation/personal bias of some other nature (hate Cam's fun loving personality, etc).

Luck wasn't 'barely touched'.  The defender lead with his elbow and caught Luck square in the helmet on a slide.  It wasn't devastating, but he definitely deserved the flag.  Both instances deserve to be called.

Sendejo wasn't flagged - the OL who retaliated was.

Then the refs are just incompetent and should be labeled as hazardous working conditions the players have to deal with. Sendejo launched himself off his feet and helmet-first into Rodgers, yet he didn't get flagged? Wow

Defenses apparently are allowed to basically launch themselves into a QB in their "running posture"
