you'll notice lots of green dog blitzes from the middle linebacker because the panthers aren't sending anyone out in dump offs

just an awful performance from all angles

This.  Shula was thoroughly outcoached for 3 quarters.  We dont have the tackles to run these drawn out plays where Cam holdsthe ball for 7 seconds

"Penalties and turnovers are killing the Panthers. With 10 penalties for 65 yards against Minnesota, the Panthers have committed 26 for 215 yards in three games. One of those cost Carolina a 56-yard touchdown catch by Fozzy Whittaker that could have made it 17-2 early in the second quarter against the Vikings. Those kind of mistakes kept the 49ers close last week into the fourth quarter and allowed Minnesota to win.The Panthers also had three interceptions on Sunday, giving quarterback Cam Newton five in three games. He had only two in the first three games a year ago. The Panthers have lost three fumbles this season as compared to none this time a year ago. They are the kind of mistakes that could keep an inferior team like the Falcons, this week's opponent, within striking distance. -- David Newton"

My concern for this team is how we perform when things are not going well. Shula turned in a outstanding performance when things were going well last year. 15-1 Record attests to that. But when things went sideways - Atlanta, Denver, Denver, & now Minnesota, but when things breakdown: Punt return td, too many turnovers, we jump out to too big of a lead, things seem to fall apart. I can't quite put a finger on it, but I am sure everyone here feels it. It's like we need to get a sports psychologist for Shula.

on the play where the vikings got a free run at cam fozzy was lined up to block him but immediately ran to the right side of the pocket when the ball was snapped. the rusher came from the left and folded cam.

not sure if that was fozzy's fault or not. he's a pretty reliable blocker

I also noticed the olines inability to recognize and "claim" delayed blitzers....it seemed that on numerous occasions the oline could not get on the same page with who was who's responsibility....these are instincts you develop through time playing together so I don't get the disconnect

We are making it insanely easy on decent defenses....like EH said....they send that blitz and we have no dumpoff like literally every other team has.

I mean...these teams will oblige and oblige and oblige until hey look we gave up like 8 sacks for real....huh what happened? at least that's SHulas thought...the rest of us know wtf happened. fugin worst OC mind I've ever seen.

See, I'm afraid a lot of our players are like we're still in 2015 season, standing at 15-1. Wake up guys. We're officially in 2016 and we're standing at 1-2. A lot of the teams we're facing this season are more challenging than the ones from last season. We're playing very sloppy, especially once we're in the 2nd half. I'm not saying we're done for the season, just need to play with better discipline and dedication. No more dumb penalties, no more sloppy turnovers, don't rely on Benji so much, practice the playbook. Everyone doubted us last year. Just play exactly like that.

    • Let it all out bro.   At the end of the day Charlotte fans just aren't that passionate as other fans. The Panthers and Hornets crowds are wack.    Go to a Canes game and you will understand this. Tell the family I said hi and Happy Father's Day.
    • Dude you have no idea what you're talking about. Best place to live?  LMAO... that's your criteria...  Charlotte gets put all over those lists too... come on man... and those lists have zero to do with sports. I'm done after this bc I'm punching down intellectually here... The Panthers have been bad for 6 years now. You are obviously young and not overly educated based off the "dunks" you're putting out there that certainly are, so let me educate you today on the Panthers. The Panthers sold out for well over a decade straight. BOA has been as good an environment as there is when the team is good.  Fan support for the Panthers has been incredible when the team has even remotely reciprocated. The idea that Charlotte doesn't support the Panthers is utter BS. People in Raleigh have the biggest little brother syndrome of all time... Nobody outside of the Triangle cares about any of your "vaunted" sports team outside of Duke-UNC in basketball on a national scale. Sure, the Canes are great. But nationally, the WWE dwarfs the NHL in ratings. More people care about Cody Rhodes than Sebastian Aho... or anyone else in the NHL for that matter... I doubt less than 5% of anyone in this state outside of Raleigh even knows who that is... that's a knock on Aho who is a great player, it's just the NHL barely makes a ripple in the overall hierarchy of American sports. It's not in the same universe as the NFL or NBA no matter how badly you want to tell yourself otherwise. Raleigh is not a big-time sports city, no matter how much you want to scream into the abyss about it. Neither is Charlotte. But no one here is making such a nonsense argument... LOL it's good to be young and to be ignorant enough to be confidently wrong... WTF are you even on this board though since Charlotte is so beneath you? There is an actual discussion board on this very site for Raleigh sports since they are so superior...  Maybe it's bc I'm watching Idiocracy with my son, but your timing is perfect, my man... The dumbest among us have become the most confidence in their ignorance... God Bless America!!
    • You do know the biggest military base in the US is located just an hour from Raleigh in Fort Bragg right? Military families are family oriented. A hour drive to games is nothing compared to traveling 3 hours to Charlotte.   Cmon man there is nothing happening in Western Carolina other than Charlotte. I only go west for outdoor activities and some nature/mountain views.
