How let down will overly confident Falcons fans be this weekend? (Pic thread!)

you know what pisses me off? it took WEEKS last year for people to realize the Falcons sucked. When  we were 11-0 we were still being underrated and called the worst undefeated team of all time.

Now three weeks in with a blistering record of 2-1 people are already singing the praises of the Falcons.

I fuging hate the Falcons, they've never done poo as a franchise and are constantly overrated.

Listening to local Atlanta sports radio this morning, you would think they won the Super bowl. I hope they are overly confident coming into the game this week.

I am also equally hopeful that the Panthers show up and use their disappointment from a 1-2 start AND the loss in Atlanta from '15 as motivation to take back the south.

This won't be an easy game...remember Atlanta spanked that ass last year for our only loss and the 2015 Panthers were much better than this team. Obviously it was hard to tell if Atlanta is any good or if the Saints just blow dead bears, but this will not be an easy game.

They beat us by 7 points...

    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
    • Canales can never get his teams ready in the first week of the season so far. Hope that changes or Ben Johnson is going to take his azz to school.
