About those warm up observations....

This sounds like deflecting to me...reading too much into body language and stopping short of reading into the glaring deficiencies with our personnel.

It's followed cam his entire career though, so it's not really shocking.  I'm sure it won't be long until all the brainiac NFL analysts start blabbering about his pouting and inability to lead his team from an emotional standpoint.

Cam skipping his pregame rituals is kind of a deal though. I don't think he has ever done that.  Something is going on.

Fair enough.  I just don't want people fooling themselves into thinking that "attitude" or "lack of swagger" is reason we are struggling.  This team ha's obvious weaknesses on both sides of the ball that teams are going to frequently expose.

I will bet my lunch money it's between him and his coaching. Maybe not Rivera, but yeah. I also said week one when Ron wasn't more verbal about those hits that something like will make a person like Cam not trust you. You ask the world of him, but you can't defend him? There's def a disconnect somewhere in this org.

I agree but I'm not gonna speculate what that is because it could be tons of different things. But something appears to be going on inside.

There is definitely something going on in the locker room. I'm not sure if it's over the societal issue or a lack of trust in the coaching staff. What ever it is might be a divide that can't be overcome with on field talent.

Also, I'm not excusing deficiencies we have at CB, DE, and OT. I do believe that plays into some of the teams woes. I could tell just from watching the game that the players didn't have their heart in the game. That was before visiting the Huddle and seeing this thread.

I agree completely. I do not think it's outside factors. It's definitely in there though. I really don't think it's with players though. They have to find a way to motivate each other.

This could be true, but as I said during the week about Shula, Cam knows he missed his chance to win the SB and prove everybody who ever doubted him and Panthers wrong. I don't see that same urgency and aggression from our coaches and management to win NOW. We go in to the season with letting people go and rookies. We ball out during the 1st half, but suck in the 2nd half. Eventually that same ol execution exectution gets old. Coaches have to say what we're doing isn't working. When the Pats lose, one thing I noticed is the media goes straight to Bill like what happened. It first fall on his and his coaches shoulders, then on Tom shoulders

I really think everyone is overanalyzing this.  I dont see us winning 12 straight or 11/12 but I still think we will be fine.  At this point we need to dig in, find our strengths and try to get to 10-6 and hope that is good enough for the division or a wildcard.  Seattle was 3-5 last year, also 2-4.  Its hard not to but lets see how the next few games play out.

(Im sure I will be ridiculed for this by those that dont agree)

Now that I am sitting on the Roaring Riot bus and have more time to explain.

Once you have been on the field a few years you just get a sense for the tone of the team. It usually doesn't change get very much, from crazy high energy to high energy. There is a definite vibe on the field before the game starts.

Today was very odd. It was just flat out there. No energy. I started to take notice.

Then Cam came out and skipped his pregame routine. No lap, no football dribbling, no goal post prayer from what I saw. Just started stretching. Which is fine, I just found it odd as much of a creature of habit he is.

Then as I was walking off the field, another long time photog grabbed me asking if I noticed how low energy they were. That's when I knew it wasn't in my head.

Anyways, the team was simply unprepared and uninspired today. The result is what you witnessed.

This is now my biggest concern. Not the coaching, not the talent level. Both of those can be outstanding but if there is no desire to win it doesn't matter.

If they can't get motivated in an important division game for the lead, what will they be motivated for this season?

If ur biggest concern isn't coaching than u are mistaken..coaching can motivate plus more.

I said it before, and I'll say it again...  It's why I was so pissed that the NFL hosed us in the Superbowl for the sake of a great "ride off into the sunset" storyline for Manning.  When you work so hard, and have such a magical year going 15-1, with the league MVP, and you are robbed of your championship after a year long grind, it can't NOT take something out of you.  Yes, I am going to stick with that double negative...  because it's true.  I don't care who you are, that grind and coming up short, especially considering the circumstances, it takes something out of you.

Even as a fan, I came into this season more jaded than I ever have.  Then to open the season in Denver instead of making them prove their worth on our field, and to have their defenders trying to injure the league MVP on national tv with no consequences just compounded the let down we were already battling.  We had months to try to shake it off and the NFL immediately put us in a position to remind us of their power and haunt us with the memories of the Superbowl...  Once the season opener went down the way it did, I decided to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

All of that poo is hard to overcome.

I agree with all of that and feel the same way...the way the game was officiated and just having to accept and take up the ass that the NFL doesn't like you and doesn't care about your small southern market does drain the soul a bit just for fans. Now as a player...poo I agree you'd have to be mental to not be impacted by it...and Norman was a guy who was like that adn did want revenge and vindication and we get rid of him.

There is some bullshit coming from the top about how this team should or shouldn't be and it's really holding things down as far as I'm concerned. All this non tatoo poo and we want these 2 people to be the face instead of letting it happen naturally. Kind of like with Peppers...they forced poo onto Peppers that he didn't want and drove him away too..it's stupid and it's cost us games and HoF type players man...
