Panther fans last night

I was pretty pessimistic going into last nights game, thinking the joint would be about 75% full and 50% full after the half. Panther fans, for the most part, filled the building and stayed until the bitter end. This is a huge shift for BofA stadium. Unfortunately the Panthers might stymie any momentum they had going with shitty play but I was impressed last night. Anybodyhome started a thread about not being emotionally and financially tied to the team any longer. Good riddance. Being emotionally and financially tied to this team is something I take pride in. It's only sports for Christ's sake. Anybodyhome is the type of fan that the new wave of fan is replacing. So if you were there with me last night until the end raising hell, cheers. Together we can make a difference and keep the pussies out of our joint.

Was very impressed as well. Obviously there have been more lively primetime games, but last nights crowd understood the importance of getting that win. Unfortunately, the boys couldn't deliver.

I couldnt go tonight but I watched till the very end. And I plan on going to see our Slapfight against the cards with my dad. 

 

Should be fun.

because of work, I got to the game later than I wanted.  Their must have been 7000 people trying to get in and the game had just started.  Security is absolutly horrible.  half of them look like they were 70+ years old.  There are no lines just masses of people bunched together.  Very unorganized and it shows.  Needless to say I didnt get into my seat til the beginning of the 2nd quarter.  :(

I can see both "sides" here.

But, at today's prices, I can say with totally sincerity that NO person owes a huge chunk of their paycheck to a professional team (whose primary purpose, whether you believe it or not, is to MAKE MONEY) as their sign of "allegiance".  It just costs too damn much.

And the only way a consumer can express his dissatisfaction with a product that requires a significant financial outlay to purchase is to say "no".

I can't wait for the cardinals game- it might be only half full but I'm getting so blasted I'm going to make sure Carson Palmer remembers how badly he poo the bed last year in the NFC title game.

Another bonus of being financially and emotionally invested in this team is getting to hold the American flag on the field for the pre-game anthem, personal tours of the stadium, and getting to watch my son make a lifetime memory at midfield as honorary team captain. All benefits of being emotionally and financially invested .
