Agree. If we play our cards right we're really set up for next year. Now if this happens next year I'm inclined to agree with the OP.

IMO, that is exactly what Gman, and RR were hoping for. I don't believe they thought the wheels were going to come off though.

no way dude. we're close, we just need a tune-up. this whole thing can be fixed in an offseason.

Can do's and Will do's are two entirely different things. We could have pulled the Panther train in to the station for a tune up this past offseason...but we didn't.

I still don't understand how our offense is bad. Everyone is back plus KB.

Its not that hard to figure out.  The stats tell us why.  Last year we had the leagues best turnover margin.  This year, only the Jets are worse.

Last year we were middle of the pack as far as most penalties.  This year we are near the top.

The penalties are mostly mental.  The turnovers are a number of reasons, including mental.

Add in that last year, we had a veteran secondary with playmakers like Norman and Tillman, and understanding that the difference between winning and losing in the NFL is thin, its easy to see why we are struggling.

Oline. Cam holding on to the ball to long. DA making bone headed turnovers.

Lol at blaming the offense. In case you haven't notice, the Panthers are not built around our offense...we are built around our defense...3 QBs that have no business starting the NFL in the second half of games this season owed our elite defense. If it wasn't for the offense...in SF this team would be winless.

But let me guess though...come April we will be drafting yet another defensive specialist in round one...basically ignore our offense in FA and then wonder why we can't score 40 on the NFL best defenses.

We've played 5 games. 4 of those qbs were first round picks. Our defense is designed to hold teams to under 20 points. If we fail to score over that we will lose. We are literally in last place in terms of giveaways with 14. That's solely on the offense. Tell me again how that's the defense's fault?

    • frank, that ball was very catchable where it hit his hands. I don't even think he bent at waist until after he dropped it. He actually slows his pace to position himself to catch the ball. That will never be a pass I'd blame on the QB.   NFL+ _ Live Games on mobile, NFL RedZone, NFL Network and More! - Google Chrome 2026-01-15 13-54-54.mp4
    • https://overthecap.com/position/left-guard   Lewis is the 9th highest paid Left Guard in the league. I bet it was higher when the deal was done two years ago.    https://overthecap.com/position/right-guard Hunt #3 highest Right Guard   There is a tab in the upper left portion of the graphic that allows looking at the different positions.
    • It was a great play, but a better catch than throw. The TE boxes out Moehrig for position. Jumps to catch the ball. Catches it and turns 180 degrees while he's still in the air. Comes down and toe taps to stay in bounds and lunges for the goal post. That first part where he boxes out Moehrig for the ball is huge. If he doesn't do that and simply fades back to catch the ball (this is why Bryce doesn't trust XL), then Moehrig likely undercuts the pass for a break up or INT. Stafford trusts his receivers to make plays for him. Here I slowed it down so you can see it. Great play but amazing catch and score by the TE.  NFL+ _ Live Games on mobile, NFL RedZone, NFL Network and More! - Google Chrome 2026-01-15 13-45-32.mp4 NFL+ _ Live Games on mobile, NFL RedZone, NFL Network and More! - Google Chrome 2026-01-15 13-44-37.mp4
