because of Josh?

Because of Josh, Peanut, Harper, Coleman (at FS), Allen, Edwards, and Bene.

The amount of leadership lost on defense, the amount of experience lost, the amount of takeaway ability lost, and none of those players were replaced with players that are capable of playing better than any of them at the age of 50.

Bradberry, Worley, Coleman (at SS), Boston, Ealy, Butler/Soliai, and Sanchez.

That will gut the defense and let opposing offense pass around and over the DTs and LBs.

I feel for Kuechly, Davis, KK, and Star.

You can't be serious.

Peanut (ACL) with no pass rush

Josh (look at my above post)

Harper with no pass rush really

No team picked up edwards

Allen was good against the run but provided no pass rush

If they kept those players how much better would the team be?

The biggest issue is the team is not generating any pass rush. Just last season the panthers took 2 cbs off the couch and didn't miss a beat because the panthers could get pressure.

So, you acknowledge how Gettleman screwed the team by hitching his wagon to Ealy, forcing the coaches to start him by not giving them anything better, and not doing anything else at DE for 3 off seasons.

Ealy was a touchdown drive away from being in the new madden commercial. Ealy looked like he was ready to be a big time player, I still hope he does become one.

Once again.

Coverage sacks.

Norman shut a side down, allowing more safety help to the other side and allowing Coleman to headhunt for INTs.  Coleman didn't have many amazing ints where he fought for them, he was able to ballhawk and put himself in the right position.   Without Norman, we are missing coverage sacks AND turnovers.   How much longer are people seriously going to take Norman for granted?  How many losses?  Serious question.   Do you think Charles Johnson was tearing it up last year?  Ealy?  No.  Short was the only one and it was because of the above.

It's not only the fact we let Norman go (or at very least keep him on the one year) but we didn't do ANYTHING with the money we saved.  Weddle is ranked the best safety right now, did we attempt to get him?  No.  What about Okung?   We did NOTHING with the money we saved.   You may say "It's for extensions" but for who?  This team looks bad, who is getting extended that isn't already?   Short will leave, no doubt, if Gettleman is dealing with the negotiation because another team WILL pay market value when Gettleman won't.  He doesn't even have the "We're a good team" card anymore.

The guy basically set us back more years.

Then of course Shula, which directly falls on Rivera and Gettleman for not replacing.   It's just bad top to bottom.  JR won't fire anyone though, he's loyal to his coaches and will keep mediocre ones there for a while (just like Fox).

I did not want to see josh go but he forced Gettleman's hand. Josh could have held out until week 12, If he wanted to be here he would have signed the tag like Greg Hardy did.

Maybe the savings will be used on KK, Turner, Norwell, etc in the future. the panthers were not playing with $60M in cap space.

If anything Gettleman  believed in his guys too much which explains why certain moves weren't made, I can't fault him for that he kept the majority of a team who were one drive away from winning the SB.
