Where is the high comp.% passing game??

[WOW!!]

As I watch other games I see other teams use the short high completion % passing game to success...

Something we don't do and I wonder the reason..

And what I mean by high completion % passing . . Is screens, dump offs, and roll out..

1. Is it Cam fault not being able to be more accurate with short passes.. Is he not.seeing the dump off option enough..

2. Is it Shula not being able to call a diverse passing attack like he does with running the ball..

3. Is it the talent at RB and WR . We have fast and quick WR'S ..Why not more smoke screens?

We have Tolbert and Fozzy why not more roll outs and Screens with them lined up out the backfield??

I think we have the weapons to have a killer short passing game and I don't understand why we don't utilize this in our offense . .

Dude I feel you. It feels like every other team that I watch they run a lot of quick, short route play, something that we don't do too often. Seems like most of our routes are 10-15+ yard posts, corners, or ins.

I thought the Eagles play calling was absolutely cowardly tonight and they deserved to lose because of it.  Went threw 40+ times but still for under 200 yards because they were all screens and short routes.  I'd rather my QB throw 55% but hit on a few big plays then do whatever the hell the Eagles tried to do on offense tonight.  A good mix is most important though

But to follow that up.... I think our WR's might be a reason why.  Really none of them are good at getting open right off the snap.  Wish we could have gotten Sterling Shepard

I don't think the dump offs and screens suit Cam's game. Also, I don't think we have the caliber of personnel like Edelman, Sproles, etc. to run it effectively.

It's our system and Cam's strengths. The Air Coryell system doesn't yield a high completion percentage and a lot of short passes like the west coast that a lot of teams run. Which is completely fine, they're just different systems. We attack vertically, the other offenses attack horizontally. I like the vertical passing game better to be honest, and Cam fits it better.

We did do a lot dink and dunk today. We had 5 drops. We don't have Amendola and Edelman out there

even fozzy had the dropsies, and he's usually pretty good at those routes

Our receivers aren't really run after the catch type guys with the exception of Ginn.

Or you could be balanced , have to take advantage of Fozzy & Phillys skill set

there were plenty of missed opportunities for short passes by both newton ignoring the dump offs and the receivers dropping the ones he did attempt.
