You'd think Shaw would have been a better option than Klein on the passing plays. Even without safety help he's a better cover guy. Klein was actually decent (he was on Crabtree) but he wasn't going to win the battles just be there to tackle after the catch. If Shaw can cover Fitz, he could cover Crabtree.

Again, we can't seem to adjust. Just because Kuechly could have made those plays doesn't mean you just assume Klein gets the role and make no other adjustments. I'm pretty sure on the TE TD and Crabtree's long catch that the Raider OC was going after that hole and we obviously weren't scheming and telling our safeties to help more than usual. Same old defense regardless of personnel loss.

Shaw?

I see you and your aliases are just trying to make him look bad since he's a Gettleman pick.  Calling him Shaw intentionally like that, smh.

;)

Dave Gettleman used the expression "position catastrophe" in describing the O-line in 2014. History repeats.

Why let another Byron Bell/Nate Chandler situation happen again then?!?

Injury excuse ain't gonna work this time around...(Even though it's bad for the O-line now).

Agreed. I think this all stems from the can't make adjustments and can't scheme to our strengths. Shaq was coming on last year and played great in the NFCC. He had a TD early on this year too. I remember he was a training camp standout and yet we can't figure out how to get him in the game. We let the other teams dictate everything.

I'll give Butler the same thought. He blocks a kick and swings 10 points in a 3 point win and next week we have trouble getting him on the roster? Maybe the ankle is still hurting him but still.

We gave up 35 points (28 by D), so it wasn't like we ever stopped Carr. Klein got abused in coverage and played hard, but again we can't use a better cover LB who has experience at S as well? Did Oakland even try to run? Just amazing when you really analyze our decision making by the coaching.

Klein got abused in coverage only because the S who was suppose to be there wasn't.  Klien actually did a good job....but when Boston disappears it looked like Klien was man on man

Well you would think that once you experience a "position catastrophe" you would sign some.quality depth and make damn sure that it doesn't happen again.

Lmao. Let me know exactly what teams would be performing at a high level down to their third string center (actually make that 4th string), their 3rd string RT, their 2nd string LT, their 2nd string OG, and have one starter remaining in Norwell.

That was our line yesterday. Most don't have that luxury.

Just like the Panthers didn't have the luxury in 2004 when they went to their 6th string practice squad tailback.

I mean the Vikings beat us and have a better record....and they literally have no tackles or their starting RB and their #1 receiver has been hurt off and on...oh and their OC quit on them

Let's see, how many games in a row have they lost recently?

Terrible example, and we lost due to poor game management more than anything else.
