Luke Kuechly returns to Practice

I have mixed feelings about Luke playing.  I have no doubt he is itching to get back on the field as he loves the game and it is his nature to want to dominate and destroy on the field.  I hope that whatever is decided, he is healthy and in good shape for playing.  I personally would rather not risk another injury but I can totally understand why Luke would want to end the season giving 110% on the field and NOT on the sidelines.  I just hope he is ok!

if he's cleared he's cleared. you don't just magically get more or less concussiony if you wait. benching him would be a bitch move and guaranteed he wouldn't stand for it.

plus he could lead us to 8-8 and a wildcard!

That's a joke, right?  It's hard to pick up sarcasm online.

This... minus the wildcard comment, lol.  There's no need to bench him, if he's cleared.  Might as well go ahead and bench Cam now to, if you're going to sit Luke.  Sounds pretty silly.  Plus, how would it look on Luke, for everyone to know he was cleared, but they're sitting him anyway?  Especially after the scene on the day it happened...

If he is released medically after seeing the specialist in Pittsburgh then I would assume that means he has no greater chance of having a concussion if he plays now or next year. So it comes down to Luke making the best decision about his own health after weighing the odds. Who am I to presume to tell him what to do with his own body. If he plays I hope he is careful sticking his head into piles and flying around. Sometimes concussions just happen and other times a player just disregards his body.

If Luke gets injured either by concussion or something else before the end of the season... all hell is going to break loose.

As well it should....not only that but it should and could cost Rivera his coaching career....if Luke plays it goes beyond a terrible coaches sub par intellect.....yet also....Luke himself has to realizes the season is over and he will do better for his team in the future and his career if he shuts it down this year.

Competitor this bla bla fug you that...smart people like him have to pick and choose their battles....this is not that season....I'd honestly lose respect for Luke as an intellectual if he wanted to play...only bad things could happen and it doesn't take a genius to see that...he has nothing to prove, nothing to gain, and everything to lose. Would be a monumentally stupid thing to do all around for anyone involved.

why bother caring otherwise?

Vegas lists the odds of the Panthers winning the Super Bowl, right now, at 1,000-1.  I'll take their word for it.  Impossible?  No.  But worth something else bad happening to Luke or risking our top 10 pick?  You gotta be kidding.

I don't like. At all. There's nothing left to play for. The season is over. Why risk our best defensive player who's missed multiple games in both of the last two seasons due to concussions? Just let the guy fully recover.

Concussions are still largely a mystery. Current protocol in the NFL is that once the player performs to his baseline tests, he's good to go. But, are we sure about that? Not even a little bit. In combat sports, fighters who lose by knockout (either by ten count or technical) are automatically suspended for 30 days, three months if it is the second knockout within three months, or one year if it is the third knockout within one year.

Well according to this forum, Bradberry is the best defensive player?

Ron knows his position needs saving once again, cause if the players quit on him he's done because that's what he's known for, a players coach. He can't lose what he's known for. Luke coming back can maybe energize the team and hopefully get them to play harder to finish strong. All politics.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
