We run the most antiquated offense in the NFL

It feels like I'm watching 1960's NFL. It's run, run, deep pass. We use up the entire play clock, we are last in the nfl in screen passes. Cam leads the NFL in pass attempts over 15 yards.

While other teams are playing fast pace, no huddle, short passes we make everything hard.

This is true, and while Shula doesn't help matters it all stems from Ron's philosophy. As long as he is our head coach we will run that type of offense(barring a JR/Gettleman ultimatum to the contrary).

We used to make fun of qbs who dunked and dunked and used it as a reason to discredit them. our long game used to be something to brag about.

If anyone wants a return to a more pure Air Coryell, we don't have the line for it right now.

And the Panthers will keep Shula around just to waste another year of Cam and Luke. It is sad thinking how much of a better career either of those guys could of had if they just went somewhere else.

Shula is really irrelevant.

Given the talent our FO has around Cam currently...they ultimately are the ones wasting time.   If you don't give your OC what he needs to be successful then who your OC is...is irrelevant

And the screen game again. Either Shula doesn't like it and Cam wants them or Shula does and Cam doesn't like them or neither of them know how to run it.

Surely its come up in practice.  A good screen is PERFECT for a bad o line and offsetting a pass rush.

Cam run a ton of screen plays at Auburn

Just last year you had commentators such as Cris Collinsworth gushing about the Panthers offense saying it's the most complex running game in the league.

Now y'all saying it's the most antiquated offense in the NFL.

What a difference a season makes smh

Goes to show what Chris Collinsworth knows.  Our run game plan is fine, except the read option crap.  Our pass game plan is weak af.  And the combination of that situation is what you call "antiquated".

    • They can do other gigs alongside those jobs. Or around them. If you get one of those jobs you can get an agent, you might need one to get the gig  But they can supplement that game day money    There is a lot of stuff they can do during the week   I don’t know what Rosinski has been doing but once I saw the Masters or the US Open or something and he was part of the team   .
    • If a player doesn’t have his teammates back in an interview then he is either  looking to start a rift in the locker room and stir up controversy or there is already a rift in the locker room and he is trying to stir up more controversy.  Problems in house should stay in house and be dealt with there. DB is saying what he is supposed to say regardless if it is an accurate depiction.
    • Jeeze glad I didn't invest in Buffalo Real Estate.  Per article McD paid $1.1M in 2017 for his house in Orchard Park NY.  Current estimated value is $1.5M.   It would have been at least 2x that anywhere that's decent in Charlotte.
