It's worse than I thought

I smoked a lot of weed in high school, so correct me if I'm wrong...but I seem to remember the Panthers, under Dave Gettleman, go 15-1 and come within a few plays from winning a Super Bowl.

You guys continue your "the sky is falling" freak out all offseason if you'd like. I'll stay here in reality.

I think it's hilarious to watch everyone freak out on here

Being a Panther fan the last few years is like watching Spin the Wheel on The Price Is Right. We have all these areas that could use improvement and just have to wait and see which singular one our draft pick lands on.

Guh.

Going into this season, exactly what position, outside of CB and RT did we need improvement on?  We had just come off of a SB appearance and were getting out 10 TD/1,000 yard receiver back from injury.

ALL THESE AREA'S.  My ass.

Did it work out that way?  No, but no one could have predicted that in July and August.  Hindsight is beautiful.

Anybody that criticizes the state of our OL without acknowledging that losing a Pro Bowl LT, long time starting LG, back up C, and the swing man of the OL in one offseason put us where we are at should be forced to read CPK posts until they get right.

This agenda people are pushing is very misguided and one sided. Drafting isn't the only way to fill holes. There has been free agency and undrafted players that have out performed those that are drafted. The notion that we're not drafting offensive starters is being blown out of proportion. We have offensive starters that were drafted, traded for, signed and picked up undrafted. You can't dismiss those facts either.

This isn't deliberately the sole cause of what happened this season. Injuries were the main reason and you'd be a fool not to notice that.

With that said, I rather have a day one starter on the defense than a person that's a huge if on the offensive side. Free Agency will set up this draft and I have a feeling Gettleman will look to fix the line and maybe make a play for another weapon for Newton.

As of now that is an anomaly and the needs keep growing while we keep neglecting old needs...

Acknowledged...OK , OT still needs help and hasn't been managed well...

I did. In fact, most objective observers and some biased ones happened to note it as well.

Yes, OT does need help.....no one is debating that.

The thing that drives many of us crazy is the inability for the posters that want to fire up the torches to go back and say what the correct and prudent course of action would have been.

We have been hurting at offensive tackle since Jordan Gross retired....that is no secret.  However a healthy Oher was a decent "stop gap".  Add in many of the reactionary posters poster boy Hurney's huge mistake by letting Glenn slip by, and you have our current situation.

There have been little T help on the board when we have turned in our ticket recently, and this year we are in a place to take a legit T, and there may not be one worth a 1st round grade, much less a top 10 grade.
