Charles Johnson, who just turned 28, signed a 1 year prove it deal.

He's got some speed to him and he's essentially a Philly Brown replacement. Should compete with the rookie WR we draft in April.

I like this. He looked sharp in spurts - He was their guy before Diggs came along. IRC, He did well against us in that special teams nightmare a few years ago.

The Panthers now have two Charles Johnsons on their roster. They just signed Minnesota wide receiver Charles Johnson. He joins a roster that includes veteran defensive end Charles Johnson. This is another move to upgrade the speed at wide receiver after losing Ted Ginn Jr. to New Orleans.

Wow, good move. He had a stretch one year before Diggs was drafted where he looked like the real deal at WR. Faded and hasn't done much since then but is definitely a solid flier. Could do well with Cam and in the slot here. Him and Shephard are solid signings. Still hope to get a slot guy in the first couple rounds of the draft, or early day 3.
