Biggest impact day 1??. Howard vs Davis.

A TE to add with Olsen in a 12 personal offense sorta like we had with Olsen and Shockey..

Or

A true number 1 WR added with KB and Funch to go with a spread and help add a short passing game...

So, you are suggesting that Davis doesn't have that potential? 

It's not a "stretch," a stretch is something that's not really believable.

Honestly doesn't matter who we add to the offence. If the play calling doesn't get better they won't matter. The way we play now it's all about luck and perfect execution. It's creates close games that can go either way. Sometimes its 15-1 sometimes 6-10. If it doesn't change it'll always have big swings.

Day one impact is a bit shortsighted anyway. Who will have a career with the greatest impact? At this point, who can tell?

You already know which position generally trumps the other in reference to impact.

I would've said Corey Davis if he wasn't hurt. Not being able to participate in the combine or his pro day makes me a little nervous about him.

Howard and it isn't close. First, he's a genuinely elite prospect at TE, while Davis is a questionable WR1 in the NFL. Second, the ability to run 2 TE sets in our offense with genuinely good blocking and receiving TEs as a base package opens up a ton in both the running and passing game and is an ideal way to get more targets onto the field without sacrificing anything in the power run game. Good TEs also make the lives of shaky OTs easier and God knows we need some of that.

I want Howard and will be very pleased with him at 8. He can impact our offense through pass blocking, pass catching, and run blocking all at a high level.

For me Howard would be the most impactful. We know exactly what we get. With Davis there are still questions if he can be a true #1. Even though I wouldn't take him over OJ, Ross if healthy would be more impactful than Davis from day 1 due to the fact that we could use him in the run, pass and return game.
