We don't need to Draft a TE!

Recommended Posts

I seen a lot of mocks with a TE at 8th? Panthers Fan here from day 1, 95! I feel like we do need a RB! I don't like the DE pick either when we lead the league in sacks! Finished 2nd in league with 48 an 49 was the best! So RB or CB is the tire need here! I'm happy we got back CAP41, still a need in that CB position! We had the worst secondary in the NFL! An I offense struggled to get anything going we need a explosive player on offense! What do y'all think?

Corner is not that big of a need. The secondary was bad at the start of the year, but both Worely and Bradberry came into their own, and with the changes made this off season they will be even better.

Captain in at nickel, which we play a majority of the time, is going to be huge.

Adams at strong safety is a ball hawk, and will allow Coleman to move back to free safety where he had 10 ints a season ago.

I think, RB, or WR is a bigger need, although I do agree that pick 8 is high for a WR this year.

IF you go by value alone, DE will be BPA.

IF you believe offense over defense for whatever reason, then there is no way you can discredit the talent and impact Howard would have. Fournette is talented and will have big impact also, but in a draft that is so deep at RB, the BPA probably tilts toward Howard.

i think you try and draft an impact player in the first no matter the position.  imagine if the panthers didn't take Kuechly at 9 because they already had Beason. I think gettleman will draft whoever he thinks can make an immediate impact and will be a game changer .  what he has done in FA tells me that he's set the team up to take BPA at 8.  we'll see

To be fair, it is a very deep TE class as well. Lots of talent at the position with still be available with or seconds or comp. in the 3rd.

    • I’m old enough to remember when I wanted to draft Njoku We brought back Mitchell and officially kept Tremble. Mitchell Evans isn’t going anywhere. Sanders who knows, he was awful last year I fully agree we need a better TE. This room is awful Njoku would be a massive help in the red zone. However it really seems like Dan and the FO prefer to go young on offense
    • You’re underselling Loveland imo. He’s so damn good. You can line him out wide and count on him to win 1 v 1. I don’t see that from Sadiq. Loveland is going to go over 1000 yards next season I’m not overly asking for a WR3. It’s just one of the few directions Morgan could go in round 1.  Let’s say Thieneman, Fano and Cooper are all on the board it’s a tough decision. I just don’t see how this team would take Sadiq over some of those guys given the way they run their offense. Our tight end room is easily bottom of the league so I can definitely see why someone would want a tight end though. At one point during the season I was on the Sadiq train as well. I just don’t think value wise for us specifically it makes sense given our team as a whole As far as tight ends go in this draft I really like Max Klare. Very smooth mover
    • Some of you need some serious help with the way 9 lives rent free in your heads I know for a fact, Dan loves Bryce. Bryce is his guy. This offense is very young and they’re asking Bryce to do a lot. With Idzik taking over playcalling duties it’s a move that is another step in the process of Bryce taking control of the offense. 24 years old. This youth movement on offense and putting more on 9’s shoulders is going to pay off in the long run
