"Appear to be" is the key phrase. But honestly, it is what it is. When I look at Jeremiah's most recent big board (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000792654/article/daniel-jeremiahs-top-50-prospects-for-2017-nfl-draft-30), I am optimistic. We're getting a baller regardless of what happens.

So they're saying that the Bama running back they took with the 4th pick in the 2nd round of the 2015 draft (T.J. Yeldon), the 3rd overall RB picked in the draft (behind Todd Gurley and Melvin Gordon) didn't work out?

But seriously, as much as I LOVE the idea of Fournette...8 can, and will be spent a little "smarter" I think. Adams, Thomas, or Howard. Grab a RB later, and if all else fails...there will be plenty of decent FA RB options left it seems.

Fournette played how many games last year? He would be a waste coming here. The BPA is definitely wide open for us at other positions. I hope we don't reach on a DE because we have a rotation, and i don't know if a WR would be worth taking here.

I hope we don't do something crazy and try to trade up in front of Jacksonville.  Would be a very expensive proposition.

If he's truly the target then we should be open to trading back.  The Bengals, Bills, and Saints aren't drafting a TE either.

this draft is deep with running backs but finding a player at TE that is as complete at his position as OJ howard is not going to happen, Howard is going to be our pick.

Listen to what you just said, you don't like the pick so the alternative is just some guy? What's the difference in drafting a TE at 8 vs a WR?
