Should the Panthers sign Kaep?

Ok I saw the article as inevitable. But I figured it'd come from a foaming mouth fan and not Florio. Anyways, the thread was inevitable:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/03/22/should-the-panthers-sign-colin-kaepernick/amp/

"The Panthers actually could agree on a wink-nod basis (unenforecable and technically in violation of the CBA but what the hell) to release Kaepernick after the offseason program ends, giving him a chance to possibly compete and start in another city. This would give Kaepernick a way to be in the league, to stay in shape, and to demonstrate his new commitment to conformity while also helping the Panthers get their offense properly prepared for football season."

    • A week of practice with the ones will make a big difference with Andy. And he does stretch the field alot more than Bryce - not sure why that dude hates taking shots deep. We'll lose a lot of mobility at the position, but Dalton is decisive and aggressive. He plays to win, while Bryce seems to play not to lose. Hopefully he snaps out of it after watching Dalton for another couple of weeks.
    • They do. if Andy isn’t totally washed and if the OL can pass block.  We have the running game, and with Andy we have the play action and ability to stretch the field. I have been missing that so much. These are kind of big ifs.
    • Honestly think Panthers have a real chance in this game. Remember, Dalton is good for a game or two. Anything more than that and we're in trouble. If Carolina's run defense continues to dominate, I don't think Josh will light us up. Honestly think they'll hold Cook under 75 rushing and Keon under 50 receiving. Do that and we're good. Now Kincaid will likely have a good game. But choose your battles.
