Just published my mock draft....

Please don't trade up in the first, just don't do it! This draft is too deep to give up picks, and we still need to fill holes at DE, TE, S and/or OL

I tend to agree, but ole Dave typically wants fewer, higher quality picks and the really like Fournette.

A little shocked by the Engram pick.  Haven't really seen or read anywhere of our interest in him.

seems to not fit the bill for a TE2 in Shulas system as we've seen they need to decent blockers. Dickson was horrible at this and a big reason why people want to run him out (when he has had to slide over to Olsens role in TE1 he hasn't looked bad, see Atlanta game at home in 2015 the sick around the helmet pass to Dickson in the endzone). And before Dickson it was Swolebones

love the LF pick and Obi pick.

normally not high on some guys that are just really raw, but with his upside and a Vet like Adams signed coming off 2 probowl seasons.  Obi could groom into one Helluva Safety for is down the road

Panthers tried out plenty of large TEs last season. Didn't work out so well. Maybe a smaller more athletic one will.

But seems like many of those larger guys they works out didn't have the size speed combo who were decent pass catchers similar to a Leggett or Kittle

If this played out, I would be happy with the draft. I like Engram in the ever evolving passing league that is the NFL, and when you see a skill set similar to Jordan, and transpose that potential to a QB like Cam along with Olsen still being here, the two TE game looks damn good.

I really hope, we have good health, and good fortune this season, I think we deserve it after an injury ravaged 2016.

    • Anybody got a clue what this is supposed to mean? 🤔
    • I figured as much. Hopefully he's just resting up and will be ready for round 3 (if we make it that far.)  Sucks to see. Hes been our best defender (besides Slavin) in the playoffs so far.
    • I've never bought into the idea. There's just too much at stake, even for front office people. Jobs are lost, trust is lessened, lives are altered, reputations are damaged and more. Throw in that the average front office person isn't as young as the average player. They may not have ten years ahead of them to salvage their careers. Any given year could be their last. The only person not guaranteed to suffer some direct form of consequence from losing is the owner, and even there you still have problems (fan reaction, team reputation, revenue, etc). You've also got massive egos in play on that front so it can get personal. Mind you, I do accept that there are "fire sales" in order to build for the future, but even those have consequences. They don't exactly guarantee success either. Poorly run teams often just wind up in the same circumstance a few years down the road. Sorry gus, but my tinfoil hat just hasn't fit me for quite a while.
