Are people really saying McCaffrey is preferred over Fournette now?

I was under the assumption the Panthers believed Fournette would be gone by pick 8. As such, they started looking at the next best option in the case that they want to go RB. There is no tape, scout, or combine performance in the world that could make me believe McCafrey will be a better NFL player than Fournette.

I will be shocked if the next best pick they can muster at 8 is another RB, not named Fournette.  Let's not forget how much DG cherishes the rookie deal a first round pick gets, with the 5th year option.  I find it really hard to believe that DG is okay with using that on a position that is usually not that expensive when compared to a DE, QB or LT.  Fournette is special enough to use that pick on a RB, but I think the pick at 8 is DE (assuming Fournette is gone).

Exactly.  There is zero chance unless we trade down.  I see it being DB or a DE if LF is gone.  Maybe a trade down for an inline TE

I fugin LOVE Fournett. Hes my dream RB. there is a high chance we cant score a RB like him, therefore, Id settle with McCaffrey because i cant live without a RB and I feel we can be creative on how to maximize what he brings to the table. i am also good at convincing myself that McCaffrey is just as good....  when he isnt. i mean look at Fournett

Fournette > McCaffrey.  Huddlers are buying into the hype that the media is using for limelight before the draft.  Its that time of year where after initial evaluations and mocks come out that, the media outlets can't about the same material because of ratings.

Got to throw the curve balls and the craziness in there for click bait and views.

    • Gross was still good for a couple years and 1.5 of oher was solid.........uhhhhhh guess Im going to get shot on this Bell was not half bad as RT, fire away. Sure not a good LT, RT was average-ok league wise, imo. Chandler had no business on Offense, but that was herniay parting gift no cap space.  I bet you also forget Williams was a good RT until the injury then Motown stepped into his RT spot. But for years Williams was good. gross/other -- white buffalo -- Kalil -- turner --williams/motown That's petty dang good my fren!! Chandler and Matt Kalil were full fails, but OL has 5 players....Most times cam had 4 solid-great ones and one that needed TE help at times.
    • Long as Im right, mock away!! TE only has one choice and that's if he's even still ava. I told you this panthers team is IN for this year and watchout for WR cause it is valued and the top pool is deep. I believe some including yourself took note(hell I think I @ you to share), now the HC re-firms my crystal ball isn't crack'd... The wild card in all is the new bevell, I think hes already swinging a big stick and they are going to change some things. Mike saved tua from the same spot BY is in.....Bevell has a wealth of exp and ideas across many different systems including the one that turned Tua into a MVP candidate.
